How much is a good amount of exercise to do each day? I've only done a little today because it's really hot weather, but in general, how much is good?
Don't they say 30 minutes to an hour is preferred every day.. OUTDOORS...

Does walking count as an exercise? Because if so, 30 mins is easy.

Why Outdoors?as long as it's something you like and you do it consistently. That's the key

You should try to get your heart rate up for about 20-30 minutes each day, if you are just trying to maintain a pretty standard physique. If you want to bulk up, slim down, tone something, or get beach-fabulous, you will need to do more.

Doesn't really matter what you do, but you want to get your heart rate up. The general rule of thumb is that you want to be sweating for 20 minutes :).

Get off couch, walk to kitchen, make sandwich. Repeat as necessary.

I like the way you think.

Your first mistake was running. Don't run. Don't ever run. Unless someone you can outrun is chasing you.

Hmm... I think you're right.

Exercise is evil and should be avoided whenever possible. Seriously. Unless you're a) in dangerously unhealthy condition b) in some kind of athletic hooby/career then why bother? All it'll do is make yourself tired, hotter, thinner, delightfully toned...
*runs off to join gym*

I swim for one hour a day five days a week. I love swimming, especially at 5 AM. The pool doesn't get crowded until about 6 to 6:30 AM.

Exercise? I never go out of my way to do exercise - I simply can't be bothered. I walk to/from school often, which is half an hour there and half an hour back, but I never willingly do exercise. I'm incapable of getting fat, so there's not much point really.
really you just need to be not a lazy ass bastard, but a more active-lifestyled bastard.

There's a 5 AM?
Yeah I love swimming too, except for when the pool is full and people swim into you.
As for how much exercise you should do I personally aim to do at least an hours walking on days I'm not running/cycling. I run home from work twice a week (10 miles) and try to go cycling on Saturday. Also I try and go swimming in my lunch hours.
