That's the nastiest thing ever.

Though I mean imagine not realising that mumbling baldy fat men with blood on their face are the living dead. He must live in a strange part of that city.

I'd hate to be him, there's no way I'd have handled it well.

Maybe, maybe not... if he was, he's a pretty damned hot actor. Although, being called "trick of the mind" or whatever, it would be fairly ironic if the whole point of the show was to convince you that he was for real. To be honest, I don't really care much either way. it's all entertainment.

Indeed. Also he didn't aim for the head. what was up with that? You can't take a zombie down unless you sever the head/destroy the brain! I mean when it was all over, did you not see him making groin shots at brown? That made me laugh.

Were those actual quotes? I only remember him saying "what the fuck is going on?!"

I'm curious how they got the gun-shot effects on the zombies to be so choreographed with the shots...

Hehehehe. Brains!

I just downloaded the movie and watched it a 2nd time. I wish I had that Arcade in my room!!!

(He probably didn't shoot the zombies' heads with his paintball gun cause the actors would then definitely kick his ass!!!)

Not necessarily. It is known that strobing lights can cause strange effects, and "hypnosis" is not out of the question. Knocking someone out with lights is quite plausible.

And think about it: If one second you are playing the game, and the next you are in the game, would you not go "wtf, mate?" and freak out? I mean really, if a random person were subjected to this kind of psycologic warfare, so to speak, they would likely act just the same as this guy.

I'm dubious that this actually happened the way they want us to think it did, but it was interesting nonetheless. I was entertained and that is all that matters. It'd have been more entertaining had it been real, but I highly doubt it.

Hysterical! I loved it!. And you can put someone out with controled light... SOME people. Its like when an epileptic seizures because of flashing lights.

Either way, I loved it!

Knocking someone out with lights is quite plausible.Perhaps it is, but I find it hard to imagine that knocking someone out without their consent and then putting them in that sort of situation is sensible. It seems to me that he'd be leaving himself open to all sorts of legal unpleasantness.

Suppose the lad had a dodgy heart and dropped dead? I really can't see the TV company's legal people waving through a stunt like that.

I'd freak the fuck out.. probably have a manic breakdown. I'll never play that game lol.

Derren Brown is a genius!!

He once made himself invisable to a bloke in the film industry, scaring the heebeegeebees out of him. He just talked to him about films and special effects and then through the power of suggestion made him not see him. He walked into the room in full "Invisable man" costume, you know big coat, hat, bandage, and took them off one by one leaving the poor guy to see nothing. Pure class!!

He also once showed an undertaker pictures of people and asked him to put the into two piles, one he liked and one he disliked, based on a feeling of the people in them. Brown then revealed that the all the people in the "dislike" pile were dead and the people in the "like" pile were alive.

As you can tell I am a big fan!!!

It was certainly fake. This hypnotist wouldn't put his volunteer actors lives at stake just in case a subject freaked out and started pummelling the 'zombies' to actual death.

Shit. If it wasn't staged he could be facing charges.

And what about the behaviour of the guys' "friends"?

"Is it okay if we kidnap your friend for a few minutes and torture him?"

"Duuuuuhhhhh...OKAY!"

"Is it okay if we kidnap your friend for a few minutes and torture him?"

"Duuuuuhhhhh...OKAY!"I wouldn't even say "Duuuuuuuhhhh". :)

Hell, i'd be tempted to ask if they could spare the time to kit me up as a zombie too! That'd freak 'em out a bit! :D

Well he does begin every show labouring the point that everything he does is not magic :)

Meh, it is unlikely he would even be able to do that without security stepping in.

I mean, it is quite hard to pummel someone to death anyway, unless you are trained to do so.

Shit. If it wasn't staged he could be facing charges.

Maybe Brown just has faith in British students not being too litigious.

Asumming it was fake, the subject was probably approached before hand and asked for consent without being told much of the details.

Though last time I checked, scaring someone isn't an offence under British law.

"Duuuuuhhhhh...OKAY!"

What, you mean you wouldn't? ;)
