Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transvestite, intersex, pansexual, queer, and questioning. Did I forget anything?

I think we need to condense our inclusive term again, because I can't remember all those damn letters and wasn't the whole point supposed to be something simple to say?

pansexual? Someone attracted to bread?

The pan refers to the Greek root meaning "all", not the Latin root meaning bread. In this context it doesn't literally mean all, but I believe is used to clear up confusion over whether someone attracted to a transsexual is attracted to the person's physical sex or mental gender. And also to someone who is intersex. I'm not sure why "hermaphrodite" isn't politically correct but you know... I'm kind of behind on this stuff. What can I say - our GSA had 4 people this year.

Pædophiles aren't included in the gay rights movement (not all are attracted to the same sex, eg. Humbert Humbert, and obviously, sex with children is almost universally considered to be rape).

She never mentioned the gay rights movement. She spoke of an inclusive term, so I included something...

How about, "The Normals".

You know...the ones that don't fit into the cookie cutter mould of gender and sexuality...the ones who colour outside the lines...the majority of people that aren't defined as exactly "THIS" or "THAT".

In that case, don't forget about foot fetishists, sadomasochists, and fat admirers.

We might as well just use the whole alphabet, you know, we can probably find meanings for enough of it.

Pan and PanSexual
Pan-: Prefix meaning "all, whole, all-inclusive," from Gk. pan-

Just as heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, and pansexual are all about the gender of who you do, not how you do them, or how old they are. I personly don't like the word because, I don't know a single person who thinks of themself "pansexual". Also I'm cumfortably BIsexual, and I've had people tell me that I shouldn't use that word because it excludes transgendered and intersexed people. Well I've got some news: I MENT to exclude those people. I don't find them actractive. That doesn't make me Blank-ophibic, just not into them and not pansexual.

About the original Poster is right name of the LGBT etc community is getting rediculisly long in general, but the San Francisco Pride Parade takes the cake with being officaly for "Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer, Out, Questioning, and Friendly people of San Francisco" now "Questioning Pride?" what exactly is that? I'll let that slide so I can move on to scream: WTF FRIENDLY! the parade is now officaly for EVERY last person on the planet who homophobic++. This is Inclusivity to point of abserity. I can't wait untill all the 40+ squeemish gay die and we can use the word Queer and be done with.
