Leperous monkeyballs

I've always found it fucking hilarious how many of the same people who now shoot their pie-holes off about the revised reason for the Iraq war ("Saddam=mean nasty bad guy and we's just altruistically rescuing his people from him so they can die by car bomb instead.... WMD? WTF are they?") are often the same people who defend crap like Gitmo.
If you are in the business of rescuing people from torture, then be fucking consistent will you? I mean what is it? Your torture is OK because it's only your enemies you do it to? What? You think Saddam was going after his friends?
Anyway, be that as it fucking may, for all those apologists who claim that what has been going on ISN'T torture (you know, people who want to split fucking hairs like GW whining about Newsweek's claim that a Koran had been flushed, when it turned out that it had only been pissed on....), perhaps you should read what the Pentagon thinks about what they are doing.... During a January 2003 meeting involving top Pentagon lawyer William Haynes and other officials, the memo shows that Mora warned that "use of coercive techniques ... has military, legal, and political implication ... has international implication ... and exposes us to liability and criminal prosecution."
Mora's deep concerns about interrogations at Guantanamo have been known, but not his warning that top officials could go to prison.
In another meeting held March 8, 2003, the group of top Pentagon lawyers concluded -- according to the memo -- "we need a presidential letter approving the use of the controversial interrogation to cover those who may be called upon to use them."
No such letter was issued.
Hey, call me fucking crazy, but if the Pentagon thinks what they are doing is fucking illegal, then they're probably in a better position to know than any of us. Frankly, I'll take their word for it in this case.....
