Today, I had a question. I wonders, what was the largest thread in the time that NS generah has been on this server. When I organized the threads based on post count, and set the timeframe back to the beginning, I saw a definate, and suprising, pattern.

Not Counting the Paradise Club and other chat threads, Here are the top 10 largest threads, on basis of replies.

As you can see, we really like debating religion.

Thoughts?

Gays are one of the few minorities that it is OK to oppress and malign, hence the size of the threads. Hatred fuels these threads.

For once I agree with Fass.

Kind of lends creedence to someone's comment that it's nice to see thread that DOESN'T bash gays around here every once in a while.

You do realise that you have excluded any thread that has been moved to the Archive for example, but not excluded threads that have been locked by moderators.

I disagree. The amount of pure hatred I've seen directed against christians and catholics by some gays and certain atheists have pretty much put me off coming to these boards.

If anything, here the religious are a minority that can be oppressed.

Yes, the largest Archive threads are RPs from NS proper. And, why would I exclude threads locked by mods? They were locked because they got too bog. The largest threads ARE locked.

I'm not surprised that the homosexual threads were the most popular. Tat topic seems to get conservative people really riled up. So then the liberals get really riled up in reaction.
