You pay more to get there, but the stay, the food, the clubs and the alcohols are much much cheaper.
from ireland. me reckons that wud be quite expensive

Seriously, do the price calculations. Yes you pay more for the flight. But how much would you be spending on hotels, bars etc in Europe. Then go and check out places in Brazil and you will find that you probably will spend less in total.
The difficult part is that package tours do not exist except for top end green environmentalist holidays for the range rover owning set. So you have to put together your own package.

Ibizza - not cheap, but nice, to say the least.
I would also suggest another destination: Bulgaria (to the north of Greece) - much more cheap and still nice. But I doubt you could find free places to stay now, most of them are already reserved.
