If these sleaze buckets are guilty, what should we do to them?

Um arent they kindof the same sentence except for life.
Maybe 20-life.

I've always pretty much been against the death penalty, and castration is a bad idea, so that left prison.
Not to sure about Bubba, wouldn't he object to dirtying his penis with their anus?

I think he meant after the trial.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're saying it's satanic worship for the sake of painting all satanists as child molestors either.

Not if they want overall church attendance rates to fall, especially with the people who go but don't really want to.

Well, I'm against the other options, but Life in prison with a cell mate named Bubba sounds good for them. I'll vote that.
I'm generally against the death penealty, but when it come to sexualy abuse of children its a different matter. The article appears to be suggesting that these people were belong to a satanic cult, but regardless of this, there are only a certain type of person able to abuse children lke this.
Worlds better of without them.

N.B to the author. It's spelt "bait".

They'll be killed if they go to prison, so either way they're getting the death penalty.
Look at John Geoghan, after all. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Geoghan)

There's no point in putting these guys with Bubba. These guys are Bubba. Put these guys in prison with the thieves, con artists, and muggers that everyone wants to send to Bubba.

I would prescribe punishment beatings to be administered twice daily, especially on weekends.

Is raping children really the worst crime ever? How about mass murder? How about killing children?

Only 20 to life for this?
"The alleged victims, suspected to number up to two dozen, include children ranging from infants to young teens — some of them the offspring of those accused."
Infants...20 to life?
Their own children...20 to life?

If you voted "death penalty"and can decide their fate, here's a cheaper way to do it.
Don't send them to prison.
If the jury votes "guilty", bring up all their crimes in detail, "leak" the evidence to a tabloid, give out pictures and release them to the outside.
They'll be gone in a week.
But make sure they get a fair and anoymous trial first, please.

Trials in the US are not anoymous.

if they are convicted of repeated child rape and torture, id go for "life in prison without possiblitly of parole". the satanism part is just assholes looking for justification for their own bad behavior and shouldnt come into the sentencing.

Shame that. I always feel that non-anoymous trials mean that the offenders get ostracised, even if they are prooved innocent.

If they are convicted then sentence them to something like 25 to life. However, there is something disturbing about this story and it isnt the story its self. The disturbing aspect of this story is the memories it brings back about the satanic ritual abuse scandals of the 80s.
For those of you not old enough to remember, satanic ritual abuse was all the rage in the late 80s. There were cases that sprung up all over the country with people accusing everything from day care workers to churches and even their own parents. As it turns out, none of it was true. It was all the result of a number of factors coming together, mass hysteria, bad psycholgy, and what is now known as false memory syndrome.
Those of you old enough to remember this, keep that lesson in mind and dont repeat the same mistake. Let us wait to see how this pans out before we assume it is true. For those of you not old enough to remember, perhaps it would be interesting to do a little research on false memory syndrome, satanic ritual abuse, and the McMartin preschool trial.
If this proves to be true, then a sentence of 25 to life per count would be adequate (if they really molested multiple children, thats easily a minimum of life). However, Im not expecting this to pan out the way it has been described. It will probably prove to be far less sensational than it currently sounds and may even prove to be a complete fabrication.
