Introduce your pet!

Yes, I'm bored. Now, introduce your pet! :D

My current pet is Edel, an 11 months old Malinois (Belgian shepherd)

I also had 4 hamsters, Grijsje, Daisy, Mikey and Chelsea.

And when I was younger, I also had a dog, Boris.

Pictures will follow later :p

My pet is Coco, a special breed of dog who I believe to be a breed between a standard poodle (definate) and some kind of half laborador collie (unsure). She's obsessed with chasing a tennis ball, loves the beach but hates getting cleaned, and has perfected the art of the "cute look" in order to get inside/get food/get a walk/get a scratch.

My pet is Rakete, that's German for Rocket, a small tabby cat.
She's about 2.5 years old, very lively, very affectionate and she provides for the whole family... she'll tackle everything up to the size of a duck (mind you, hat was some pretty surprised duck the other day, shame I didn't have my camera to take pictures)

I have two cats named Robert (bob) Smith and Rick James. And two fire bellied toads named spooky and ga-go-may. I hate the toads. Bob is an aloof cat who only wants my attention if I'm bathing, but Rick James is awesome, he's cute and wants every one to pet him.

my cat, named Buster after Bustopher Jones from the Old Possums Book of Cats, with the cat's 'white spats', and he's 'decidedly round' too:D
plus our last name is Jones, so it fits especially well :)

he's 16 years old and a very smart cookie. he loves cheese and sweetcorn, and hates his cat-food, of course :p

You hit the mother lode here. In case you haven't heard, "Zooke" is short for "zookeeper" and my original major in college was vet med. Oldest to youngest:

Dolly Doodle - 17 1/2 year old Pomeranian. She's deaf, almost blind, and has no teeth left, but her appetite is good and she's still physically active. I might add that my pets have a tendancy to live extremely long lives.

Cowboy - Some kind of wire haired mutt...probably some Corgi in the mix. My husband got him as a pup in Texas about 9 years ago. His favorite games are sleeping and eating with a good back rub once in a while.

Pedie - He's a chihuahua/pug mix with one eye and a bad attitude. He strayed in on us about 3 years ago and we kept him because we figured no one else would put up with his nasty temper. We just keep the first aid kit handy for when he decides to bite a chunk out of one of us. Our vet figures him to be about 9 years old.

Sophie - She's a 2 year old Schipperke and a live wire. She goes full tilt boogie 24/7. Her favorite game is "Git yur goomie" where you tickle her tummy...about the only time you get her to hold still for a few minutes.

Jackie - He's about a year old and some kind of mix with possibly some husky. He strayed in at my husband's shop about 9 months ago and his job is to keep Sophie entertained. They're inseparable. His favorite game is chewing up the living room furniture and all of the dog toys.

Angel - She's an orange tabby, 5 years old. When she was 3 months old her owners separated and divorced and neither one wanted to keep her. They ended up bringing her to us. She thinks she's a dog, though, and hangs out with Cowboy. Her favorite game is eating...that's why her tummy only clears the ground by about 1".

Zoe - She strayed in on us last fall when it started to turn cold and moved into our master bathroom. Her name was "Cat in the Bathroom" for several weeks. She seems to have taken up permanent residence in the bathroom. My husband (who is the best carpenter of all time...that should earn me some bonus points) built a platformed pole up to the bathroom window. She goes in and out as she wishes but shows no sign of leaving. Her favorite game is stealing any jewelry left lying around it hiding it in her bed.

That's it for domestic pets. Our town only allows you to have 4, but animal control doesn't bother us as we keep them under control and take good care of them. Our vet once joked that we had paid for his 2 kids to go to college and that we're now contributing to his retirement...at least I think he was joking. Our house sits in a heavily wooded area and we have dozens of squirrels living in our trees. We put out treats for them and when they run out they come down to our patio door and start chattering at us. Their favorite game is bouncing on our neighbor's trampoline...no kidding.

For all of you other animal lovers...if you're not planning on breeding a registered animal....SPAY & NEUTER your pets. Too many really nice animals are left homeless and wandering the streets trying to survive...don't contribute to that kind of misery.

Here's a pic of Sophie, Cowboy, Pedie, and Jackie's butt.

I might add that Barney was a Humane Society rescue. His former owners were druggies and stuck toothpicks in his eyes for grins. He's totally blind. My ex and I agreed to foster care for him and see to his medical care while he was recovering from the loss of his eyes. It's been over 19 years, but maybe someday he'll find a permanent home. :p

Right now, I have three, all of which I "inherited" from my children or grandchildren:

* Skuttles, a Ragdoll cat, who is one of the most loving little cats I have ever seen. He's sealpoint in color, with blue eyes. ( Neutered male )

* Julsie, a Spaniel/Golden Retriever mix dog, who isn't very bright, but is very gentle and placid ... most of the time. (Neutered female )

* Einstein, an orange and white tiger-stripe cat, who just came to live with me a couple of weeks ago. He's still learning to tolerate the other two and gets a bit pissy sometimes but is slowly coming 'round. ( Neutered male )

Don't worry, you're not alone. i don't have one either, but that's because there is a method to my madness: i am waiting to have a kid, and then have him/her beg for /cajole me into getting a pet... *ponders her years of single life* maybe i should just get the pet now...

I have two cats and they are brother and sister. They were strays found by the CAT (Cat Action Trust) at 8 months old. They have been here for a year.

The sister is named Star. My mother named her. She has undeniably become my cat. She always sits on me when I'm on the P.C, and she wakes me up so I can stroke her. She tolerates my mum yet runs from dad whenever possible.
Evidently she has good taste in men. :) I have a picture, but I can't load it up, as I don't know how to.

The brother is named Shadow, as chosen by me. It is appropriate, as he will lie in wait on the stairs at night to trip someone up. When he isn't begging for food.
He's also cute when he isn't trying to claw my eyes out. He can't meow, instead preferring a squeak. I don't have a picture.

I have the worlds most friendly pit bull. The worst injusy I have ever recieved was bruising on my legs from her tail. Miss Jones is in the background. She is slim, trim, and ready to go out in her solid black coat. When the litter box is to dirty for her she will let us know by pissing on the floor.

Both of them are great "kids" who require a lot of love and affection.

Ours will always use the box, no matter what. Although if it gets really bad they will put anything into the box including newspaper and clothing.

Shadow will then wipe his arse on the floor. Don't know if that's good or not.

Going to get Rabbits soon.
You can toilet train rabbits like cats. My sister did it with her rabbit, Keith. I was astonished. Apparently juveniles will crap all over the place to mark their territory prior to puberty. As adults, they'll piss instead because thier scent glands are fully developed for the pissing-as-territorial-marker thing to work. If they have daily access to the whole house, though, they will leave their scent just by being there, and prefer to use the litter tray to relieve themselves.

Keith is going to be neutered soon, poor bastard. Although rabbits tend to breed like rabbits, so I don't blame his mum.
