this was caused by another thread that made me stop and consider if evil could be without good or if good could be without evil...
One can enjoy something that is wonderful without knowing the bad, but they won't know how to handle it, because to them, it would be the normal. You can't appreciate it without knowing what it is to be without it. People see this all the time, its why people mourn, because they didn't realize what they had, until they no longer had the person. People get upset when they lose an item they put value in because they see what its like now that its gone, that enjoyment is gone.
I think, from my own person seeing, why the world is not a perfect place.
In a biblical standpoint that is the parable of Adam and Eve. They were given perfect world, and they couldn't understand why they should listen to the rules, they didn't know what it would be like without it, and they didn't appreciate what was given to them. So G-d put them into the world, and a price was placed on them, they were understand the gifts that had been given to them, and basically redeem themselves....which after so many years, the children of Adam have been unable to do, and thus the promise of a perfect world is something to come, and the price will be paid that was placed on the parents of us all.
Perfect world, taken away because you don't appricate it, then we have to earn that understanding, and then we are rewarded with a perfect world.
Just my viewpoint, my philosophy, in a nutshell.
