I watch THIS (http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=10865) and the only thing I can think of is Cool! I want to try it!

Not sane things like, 'Jesus, he's lucky he survived!' or 'He was probably rigged up with cables. It can't be real!' or 'What a dumbass!'

WHen you watch it, what comes to mind?(poll coming)

I hate it when streaming windows media doesnt work properly like that. It starts too early, and then stops when it reaches the point it loaded up to. You can't skip back to the start to wait for it to load, and you can't pause it. If you stop it, it wont play again!

I'm not too sure about that...I'd expect a homemade jetpack like that to fly a little erratically.

erratically, yes, but it looks to me like he's spinning round a central point and not tumbling wildly as you'd expect, is all

It does seem a bit staged, on second glance.

And I guess pressurised water (which appears to be what they used in the 'jetpack') probably wouldn't provide quite that much thrust.

exactly. besides, think about where the thrust is going - down. that would make the guy rotate around the horisontal axis (head first) a little bit. as it is he just spins relatively slowly left to right (or visa versa i can't be arsed to check)

damn i ruin all the fun of things by thinking about them too much :(

but if it was real i would so give it a go! :p

They can be a little eccentric at times, yes.

Sorry to break it to you, but you're ineligable, having children and all. It's an award for killing yourself "before" you spread your genes. :D

Rigged or no, that looks so cool. So unbelievable awesome, that I'd never do it. Sucks, eh? Damn me.

Why must he survive!

And I'm feeling a bit peckish. Have you a taco?

 Blast!

No, you can have children and win a Darwin Award. The Signifigant Other might have good genes. Just be castrated or die (prefferably castrated. We want to know) and it has to be due to lack of common sense, (not due to lack of knowledge) inflicted on yourself, and no others involved (unless they're also responsible)

KEWL!!! Go for it!

My approach to life has always been that if there was something I really, truly wanted to do and it wasn't something that would hurt another, I would try it at least once ... twice if I liked it! :D
