Ever since my friend mentioned him wanting to try frying canned tuna, I wanted to try making tempura with it. Anyone else have weird food cravings? If so, what are they? How'd they turn out?

I have a serious curry addiction and decided to try adding red curry powder to breakfast tacos. It actually worked out REALLY well.

Also, note that curried bacon and egg tacos taste better than curried chorizo and egg tacos. :p

This is a inherited food craving....

I can't eat cake or ice cream without putting it in a bowl and covering it with milk.

O.o lol, at least you're getting your dairy.

That curry idea sounds great. I'll have to try that.

sounds delish but go to the store and buy some fresh tuna. why go through all the trouble of cooking when you are using crappy ingredients?

i made some pickle soup one time. made up a recipe out of my head. was pretty good.

I crave chocolate like it's my life force... And ice cream, and cookies and cake... Damn DESSERTS! Recently I was trying to gain weight rapidly, and had to eat large quantites of this stuff, and now I want to keep going!

Also, sushi... or sashimi. I had it in Chicago and loved it, but our city is so pathetic they don't even have a sushi place. (Besides, where I live... all the fish would be more like "mercury w/a bit of fish")

Well.. I do it the Southern "cholesterol PWNS YOU" way. :D

Take 3 eggs, scramble them. Then add 2 teaspoons of red curry powder (preferably Chief brand) (garlic powder and minced onions optional) and mix fully. Set aside.

Take 6 slices of thick bacon and fry them in a skillet with nothing extra.

Once the bacon is finished, there should be a decent ammount of bacon grease in the skillet. Pour eggs in directly and pan-scramble them using the bacon grease. This will make the eggs very fluffy and enhances the curry flavor.

Wrap the equivalent of one egg and two slices of bacon in a homemade white flour tortilla (heated) and you're ready to eat.

Makes 3 tacos. :D

lol, I would, but I'm having to baby sit my little sister.

I used to eat cheetos with plain yogurt. I rather liked it.

Weird? No. Some typical Southern foods, you know, Corn Bread, buttabeans, etc., and Krispy Kreme donuts, Cafe Du Monde beignets (sp?), pizza, peanut butter...

One time I ate a pickles, ketchup, peanut butter, and bananna sandwhich because Face on Nickelodeon had repeatedly said it tasted good... and I LIKED it. I was five years old at the time.

Oh yeah! And hot hot hot hot food! (As in spicy.) If it makes me cry, it's done it's job... but it has to be good... not so that you can't taste the flavor.

I occasionally at corn on the cob covered with barbeque sauce. Umm... I was in college and usually drunk... :p But I like corn w/ketchup or bbq sauce.

OH! and my ex-fiancee used to look at me like I was from another galaxy when she found me putting mayo on grilled cheese sandwiches.

(that is...putting mayo on the sandwich before grilling it)

Got a craving for churros, those deep-fried douhnut type stick things, so I decided to make my own. In a frying pan filled with oil.
LESSON NUMBER ONE: Fairy cake mixture has butter in...
LESSON NUMBER TWO: Deep fried pancake mixture is nice.
LESSON NUMBER THREE: Deep fried fairy cake mixture is nice. If cooked through.
LESSON NUMBER FOUR: It helps to sieve flour before making fairy cake mixture...
LESSON NUMBER FIVE: It helps whe you don't try and add butter to pancake mixture...

Other than that, they were good.

Every time one of my friends has a party, I get a craving for Special K cereal with beer at about three in the morning... Someday, I will put Guinness on my cereal...
I also tried out something from the film Intermission. Brown sauce in tea... Meh. Not amazing. If you're trying it yourself, don't stir it...

EDIT: One time, a girl made me try mayonnaise and sugar sandwiches. They're actually quite nice. Seriously.

Actually, yes. I make my own when I get the chance. My ex-GF's mother taught me how.

I found a recipe for vegan marshmallows. I haven't had marshmallows for the longest time, I can't wait to go home and make them.
