While I myself am Christian; I would hardly call what masqerades as "conservative Christians" as "ingenious religiously correct individuals"; given that many of the policies they adopt are an afront to orthodox christianity in general.

Oh, and what is "Orthodox Christianity"? Catholics are the first (or at least the first major) sect of Christianity. And, to my knowledge, Catholics are the only ones who claim to be "Orthodox."

Among the definitions on Dictionary.com for "Orthodox", rabid, American Protestant is not among the list.

The Christian Right is heavily dominated by Dominionist and Dispensationalism... Orthodox is heavily Amillenial.

The Christian Right is heavily fundamentalist baptist.... Orthodox Christianity practices pedobaptism.

The Christian Right is predominately Arminian and Pelagian; the orthodox is mostly Augustinian.
