What makes you passionate?

Yeah, so the title may inspire naughty thoughts (it certainly did in me at first), but this is not a sexual thread. I am interested to know what really gets the people on here going. What makes your love of life surge through your veins everytime you think about it/do it/are in the presence of it? What gets you really excited? What do you devote yourself to?
For me it is:
Pursuit of knowledge
Synthesis of many different kinds of knowledge
Using my body in a strenuous activity, esp. if there is an element of physical danger
Music (listening and making)
Writing fiction
Love for my boyfriend
This list is not exhaustive, but I think you all get the general idea.
You mean besides NS?
Books of all kinds
Certain types of sweets
Watching someone get modbombed ;)
Debating politics
A whole lot of other stuff I can't be bothered to remember right now

I find myself enthused by all the arts. They ARE my passion.
Damn it, now I'm depressed again. I'm not passionate about anything. In fact I find it impossible to feel any positive emotion strongly. Crap, I'm turning emo...

Why is that? I'm all for mood swings too, if I were a little worse about it I might be considered bipolar, but usually for me super-intense bad gets mirrored eventually by super-intense good. Do you mean to say nothing give you pleasure?

Books. Books. Oh, and books. Anything concerning literature, poetry and knowledge.
History. Researching it, imagining it, picturing it...
Cooking. Trying all sorts of ethnic recipes, new recipes, inventing recipes or improving older ones.
That's about it, I guess...
Oh, and a certain person, whose name is nothing to any of you, really ;)

Oh, I get pleasure from stuff. Just never very intense.

I was going to say 'complexity,' but as I examined it that turned out to be bullshit. I like racing and I find complexity in it, but I hate baseball and if I was to be honest there is indeed complexity in that as well, it just doesn't interest me. (Sidenote: See that people, you can not like something and yet not be a total ass about it. Strange, huh?)
So I don't really know what the trigger is. I like a good story, no matter what it is I'm getting into. But again, it's not the deciding factor, plenty of good stories that I don't get into.
I feel most zen playing jazz. When I'm in it, I'm all the way in it and I am totally at peace. Love it. Endurance racing had a similar quality, but with a little of the agression as I gently reel in the car ahead. Sprint racing is like a dogfight. (all Karts, never had the money to 'step up' to the big cars...)
I guess, since it's where I centered, that a good story that implies more than it is, something I discover. Though I can't really identify what has to go with it to make me passionate.

What makes me passionate...
1. A monkey
2. HP Sauce
3. An Oven
4. A Plate
In exactly that order.

PRISON??? You either need to get your monitor or your eyes checked, Liskeinland ;) My monitor's fine, and my eyes are relatively fine. However, the thing that assembles the information from the eyes, being the brain, is quite possibly not fine.

Ah, well. Maybe the exciting day you had was a bit of brain-overload?
