Hopefully we all know of the NBA finals. So I'm wondering what the takes are for the two teams. Forget about Game 1 and give me your opinion:
The greatest defense in the NBA, the Detroit Pistons?
Or the aggressive offense that is the San Antonio Spurs?

If it's not hockey, it doesn't matter. :(

Damn the players.
Damn the coaches.
Damn the owners.
Damn the league.

Well maybe if the Player's Association didn't mess with Commissioner, we might see a little more hockey...(Go Red Wings)

I'm a Rangers fan.
I'll watch the Devils or Sabres or Islanders.
Sometimes, even the Flyers.

But right now, I'LL EVEN WATCH A RED WINGS GAME!! :D

My prediction? No season next year = NHL folds.

Being an Lakers fan (when they're winning), I'd say neither. But gotta go for the Western team....I am on the West side.

(Good God, did I actually say "west side"?!?!?!?!?)

Basketball isn't a sport I care a whole lot for, so I haven't been paying close attention to it. From what I've gathered, my state tends to dominate sports (especially in football), so I'd bet on the Pistons winning.

Edit: Apparently I care about basketball more than at least 50% of the people that will post in this thread. Go figure.

Who gives a damn about hockey. This is supposed to be about bastketball for God's sake. Pistons may not be all superstars, but they play like a team, which is how sports is supposed to be played. The big challenge is that the Spurs also play as a team. Im gonna have to say Detroit in 7, but its gonna be a heartbreaker for either team.

Yeah, that's what happens when you rely on just one or two superstars to win you championships. The team will fall if they aren't there. This is the great thing about the Pistons, you got probably the best TEAM in the NBA.

Basketball is a pile of shite.

1) If you don't like the topic of my thread, I suggest that you do not reply.

2) I still have faith; the next 3 games are at the Palace, and if you look at their losses against Miami, they were pretty bad too.

I say the pistons win at least one game at home.

Boy oh boy do I love to watch the Pistons. I took out a second mortgage from Rock Financial just to see them in action. (Not really.) But I think they're going to win it, if only because the odds are against them. They have some sort of sadomasochistic trend to them, because they obviously enjoy being underdogs way too much, but it seems that the only way they do great is to be at the very edge. Well, they're there now, and San Antonio is feeling the pressure. The Pistons want it so much more than the Spurs. Go Pistons!!!

Not that any of you know this, but I've been saying Spurs since September, and I'm sticking to that. I thought they would get it done on Tuesday and they just went and let me down. On a side note San Antonio is currently the +4.5 favorite at Yahoo Sports, and even though I like the Spurs to win, I think Detroit will beat the spread. My prediction: Spurs by 3 in OT. Hey, that kinda rhymes.

The Spurs will finish off the Pistons in game 7. Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker will all score 20+ and totally shut down the Pistons offense. Go Spurs!

But just look at their stats in the games that they've lost. Terrible! (Ginobili, Parker, and Duncan)
