Okay.. so.. I went to the store today and to where all the packaged meats were at... ALL OF IT FAT FREE!! to some extendt or another.. I strongly dis like fat free things.. because I do not need to lose weight.. or need to sacrifice taste for a "healthier" life style.. Im just wondering.. Has anyone seen any non fat free ham that is packaged? Or non fat free turkey that is packaged?.. I mean.. What next.. fat free lard? LOL

Thing is, Fat Free = Lots of Salt/Sugar. So the marketing is misleading too.

I heard lower fat is made up for with higher carbs, so "low fat" is actually more calories.

Fat reduction reduces taste greatly. I did a scientific experiment proving it and everything.

One thing thats been bothering me for a while is how something can be labeled 90% fat free. It seems like it should either be 100% fat free or 0% fat free.

It still doesn't compare to processed meats with tons of both, though. :D

Mmmh, salami.

what does "to some extent or another" mean?

you didnt fall into the "95% fat free" trap did you? if its not 100% fat free, its not fat free. check the label and you are likley to find its just "lean" not artificially made fat free.

its akin to "low carb" which in most cases means "same as it used to be but now we are jumping on a bandwagon"

and usually just plain sugar. Which is even worse for some people than some extra fat.

I do buy lowfat milk though...

i agree in its entirely, although i do enjoy semi skimmed milk... if people want to get thin like me then they should excersice and eat well that doesnt mean going fat free or atkins just a balanced diet with alot of movement involved like running round in small circles (a big favourite of mine) and if they want to lose weight that badly they should try having braces, they kill your appetite for 2 weeks when u have them first on and i lost at least 2 stone in that time
