Not another damn love song. Am I the only one sick and tired of hearing love songs?

On the plus side, at least half of them are about the heartbreak that results from love.

I don't even want to hear those.

I assure you that even a love song would be better than the loud distant eurotech I hear from downstairs at the moment....

Right now, I'm listening to an ambient track, a chilled-out Euro song in which a woman recites a poem in French, in which her man leaves her without saying a word or making eye contact.
Thus combining the two worlds. :p
Hell, for you? ;)

I'd prefer that over a love song.

ambient is not the euro trash I'm forced to listen.
I actually listen e.g. electro and like to go to old school hc/jungle parties. What I mean is the Ace of Base kind of eurotrash
And I wouldn't understand the lyrics, I wouldn't be bothered ;)
Just remembered what's the best gig I've seen in few years ->Kraftverk
edit: You should see my bedroom. It's filled with keyboards, drum machines, mixers, synthesizers etc.

Euro tech? is that like euro pop but worse?

yep, with added very bad drum machine and slightly increased tempo. (they do that to every single euro pop song, could also be called euro dance but that's pretty offensive to those who make proper dance (if such exist))

I quite agree with you there.
Most of today's techno is just noise. At least they made an art out of noise by mixing something of a melody with it. They were original when they started out. They have a great sound!

Ok I admit, it was a bad example. hmm. the barbie thing from Denmark? (I don't watch MTV, I don't really know who's big at the moment)

Yes. Hate, angst, and devil worshipping songs are so much more original.
Kidding. I love/respect all kinds of music. Love songs are getting more and more, well, derivative, cheesy, etcetera, but we need some love songs to level out the hate songs, right?

Love songs? I'd rather have them over dance.
Lucky that I have loads of rock and heavy-metal. 'tallica rules, bow to the deth.

That is quite true. I think they just need to stop making them so cheesey and stereotypical.

Well, there was Aqua a while back. Mind you, they appeared on the Eurovision Song Contest a few years back, performed a few of their old hits while the votes were being counted. Oh man, did they show what a Eurovision song is supposed to be. They put all the contestants to shame.
In isolation, they suck, but in an appropriate context, they owned.

Those are usually much better than the "happy" love songs. Anger is better motivator.
We need less love songs and more METAL!

What about Christian heavy metal? My impression:
*Guitar solo*
"WE LOVE JESUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSS!"
*Drum solo*
"WE ARE SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVED!"
*Various incoherant screeches*

There are few forms of music which would force me to take a blunt instrument to the speakers, but Christian Rock is one of them. :headbang:

Ooh, that reminds me. I recently found a band who described themselves as psychedelic/christian rap/death metal. I forgot their name. Obviously intrigued, I listened to some stuff. Turns out they were emo. :(
And no, HIM aren't my guilty pleasure music. I would never stoop that low.
