Does anyone prefer the past to the future? Stupid question maybe, but I like it. This was meant to be a poll, but I clicked on the wrong thing, awell. The options were going to be....
A) Well? What about it?
B) I Loved Yesterday, wasn't it great??
C) Hmm, nah, tommorrow's so much better.
D) ...all my troubles seemed so far away...

Depends how far back you mean. I wouldn't want to go back a few weeks or months, not even a few years personally. Going back millions of years to prehistoric times would be bad for my health, but medieval times were pretty snacky, as were some of the eras after that.
I shop at Past Times and write my letters with a quill before sealing them with wax! *swigs mead and waves flintlock pistols in a drunken fashion* :D

Back in time long enough to kick my ex-boyfriend in the buts and break up with him when I should've!

Nice Idea. Hmm.... I like that one.
EDIT: Just one point....does ur ex have two buts, or was that a typo? Just wondering coz it'd be interesting seeing a bloke with two buts.

Sure he does; the one where the ass traditionally is, and one where the head is! Though I meant to write nuts, but that works out just as well.
I'd like to go back in time and start my life again...with my current knowledge - maybe do some things I should have done and undo some things I shouldn't have. :D
For example, hmm...
December 2002- "Hmm...i'll just type in www.nationstates.net and see what happens..."
Well, it would be cool. :p
But not back to medieval times. I couldn't handle the oppressive religion, oppressive day to day life, and most of all, smallpox.
EDIT- As for the future...well, we're living it every second...

Fair enough...shame though - it'd be an interesting sight. lol.

Sometimes I think I need to be able to go back and change just a few decisions and I'd be good. Likely there'd be pitfalls to it all.

Why?
Must I explain everything?

neither because they dont exist (except for in your mind) - Only the present moment is worth anything. If you have your mind set on the future or the past you are completely missing out on the beauty of the present (the greatest gift of all).

Tomorrow is new and interesting...
but so is the past. I can't help if I'm a history anorack, ancient times fascinate me. But tomorrow is good too. I'd rather live tomorrow, and read about yesterday, to be honest. it was too violent then anyway.

"... the only time you ever have in which to learn anything or see
anything or feel anything, or express any feeling or emotion, or respond to
an event, or grow, or heal, is this moment, because this is the only
moment any of us ever gets. You’re only here now; you’re only alive in
this moment."
-- Jon Kabat-Zinn
Many people regularly squander their time. They live under the
assumption that they'll live forever. As a result, they don't value the present
as a precious opportunity that will never come again.
Others continually race against time, trying to cram too many
activities into each hour, and suffering stress in the process.
In our view, we are more effective and most happy when we balance being
and doing. We continually ask ourselves what’s most important to get
done. And we’re learning to BE -- fully present -- when we do. We also
regularly give ourselves permission to relax.
Make today really matter. It's all you'll ever have.
"Very few of us know how much we can put into life if we use it
properly, wisely, and economically. Let us economize our time -- lifetimes ebb
away before we wake up, and that is why we do not realize the value of
the immortal time God has given us."

I prefer the present to either the past or the future.
