If elected I would:

1) Advocate for the abolishment of the Euro in favour of individual national currencies.

2) Support the adoption of the metric system in the United States.

3) Reallocate funds toward building a 600 ship navy for the United States. Focus efforts on major improvements to the weapons systems and the ships themselves. Increase the defence budget overall, but include a repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Pursue and then repeal the ban on openly gay servicemembers in the military.

4) Establish a system of civil marriage with all legal rights, priviledges, and responsibilities of current marriage and allow same- and opposite-sex couples to access it.

5) Support the death penalty.

6) Change American policy toward the Iraqi occupation by drawing lessons from the British occupation of Malaya. Cutting off support from the populace would be far more effective than fighting a traditional war against insurgents.

7) Any disputes in the European Union shall be settled by a Court of Arbitration agreed upon by both parties in the dispute.

8) Favour a hardline stance toward China and advocate a solution to the North Korea problem.

9) Support the implementation of a ban against late-term abortions and generally permit abortions in cases of rape, incest, or times when the mother's life is in danger.

10) Propose as part of Social Security reform that retirees with incomes of more than $150,000 (in 2005 money) shall receive sharply reduced benefits. Anyone with $250,000 or more (in 2005 money) shall receive no benefits from Social Security.

11) Raise the retirement age to 75 years.

12) Support the full repeal of the USA Patriot Act.

13) Pursue a limited non-intervention policy, with exceptions made for cases of genocide or other egregious crimes against humanity. However, along with this proviso, the United States shall also scale back international aid.

14) Churches, faith-based charities, and other religious organisations shall be subject to the same taxes as any for profit organisation.

15) Sign legislation adding sexual orientation, perceived sexual orientation, and gender identity to the applicable federal hate crimes legislation.

16) Halve the budget for rehabilitation programmes and devote that money toward punishment.

17) Increase funding for education by two thirds. Decrease welfare, unemployment benefits, and other similar programmes by two thirds.

18) Require balanced budgets and federal debt retirement.

19) Establish English as the official language of the United States, but require foreign language education beginning in elementary school.

20) Increase safeguards to prevent dictators from acquiring NATO powers arms, including a black list of countries who are not allowed to buy weapons.

Only issue I have with it is the death penalty.

I definitely agree on the metric system. Americans can't do math anyway, making it just a matter of adding or subtracting zeros will help. A lot.

If elected I would:

1) Advocate for the abolishment of the Euro in favour of individual national currencies.

I like that idea.

2) Support the adoption of the metric system in the United States.

Definitley

3) Reallocate funds toward building a 600 ship navy for the United States. Focus efforts on major improvements to the weapons systems and the ships themselves. Increase the defence budget overall, but include a repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Pursue and then repeal the ban on openly gay servicemembers in the military.

I agree, but think the military budget should be given more funding in general

4) Establish a system of civil marriage with all legal rights, priviledges, and responsibilities of current marriage and allow same- and opposite-sex couples to access it.

I don't see a problem with that

5) Support the death penalty.

I agree strongly

6) Change American policy toward the Iraqi occupation by drawing lessons from the British occupation of Malaya. Cutting off support from the populace would be far more effective than fighting a traditional war against insurgents.

Explain this further

7) Any disputes in the European Union shall be settled by a Court of Arbitration agreed upon by both parties in the dispute.

As an American, I am ambivalent

8) Favour a hardline stance toward China and advocate a solution to the North Korea problem.

Agreed

9) Support the implementation of a ban against late-term abortions and generally permit abortions in cases of rape, incest, or times when the mother's life is in danger.

Agreed

10) Propose as part of Social Security reform that retirees with incomes of more than $150,000 (in 2005 money) shall receive sharply reduced benefits. Anyone with $250,000 or more (in 2005 money) shall receive no benefits from Social Security.

Social security should be abolished, and replaced with the requirement to place 1% of your income every year in a private bank account which can be withdrawn from after retiring.

11) Raise the retirement age to 75 years.

Agreed

12) Support the full repeal of the USA Patriot Act.

Agreed

13) Pursue a limited non-intervention policy, with exceptions made for cases of genocide or other egregious crimes against humanity. However, along with this proviso, the United States shall also scale back international aid.

Agreed

14) Churches, faith-based charities, and other religious organisations shall be subject to the same taxes as any for profit organisation.

If they make an actual income, yes, but if they are a charity then absolutley not.

15) Sign legislation adding sexual orientation, perceived sexual orientation, and gender identity to the applicable federal hate crimes legislation.

I'm against the so called idea of "hate crime."

16) Halve the budget for rehabilitation programmes and devote that money toward punishment.

Agreed, and prisons should be privatized too.

17) Increase funding for education by two thirds. Decrease welfare, unemployment benefits, and other similar programmes by two thirds.

Education should have a reduced budget, and instead, should be made optional so that students who simply ruin the system and cannot leave since they are required to be there by law can be forced out.

18) Require balanced budgets and federal debt retirement.

Sounds good

19) Establish English as the official language of the United States, but require foreign language education beginning in elementary school.

Agreed

20) Increase safeguards to prevent dictators from acquiring NATO powers arms, including a black list of countries who are not allowed to buy weapons.
Dictators themselves are not necessarily bad, but Anti American ones should not be able to get weapons.

If elected I would:

1) Advocate for the abolishment of the Euro in favour of individual national currencies.

Nah.

2) Support the adoption of the metric system in the United States.

Go ahead. You'll still have idiots ignoring it. We do in the UK.

*shrugs* i don't really care. You'll have a big army or navy or air force whatever you plan, it's in the nature of being the worlds only remaining Empire.

4) Establish a system of civil marriage with all legal rights, priviledges, and responsibilities of current marriage and allow same- and opposite-sex couples to access it.

Um, given you have a seperation of church and state, aren't all your marriages civil? The church side of things is licensed from the state, right? So, basically, what you mean is "allow gay marriage". The religious side of things, leave up to the churches. Yeah?

5) Support the death penalty.

Nope.

6) Change American policy toward the Iraqi occupation by drawing lessons from the British occupation of Malaya. Cutting off support from the populace would be far more effective than fighting a traditional war against insurgents.

Nah. Just a phased withdrawal.

7) Any disputes in the European Union shall be settled by a Court of Arbitration agreed upon by both parties in the dispute.

Sounds interesting. Tell us more about the makeup of this Court.

8) Favour a hardline stance toward China and advocate a solution to the North Korea problem.

Why hardline with China yet looking for a solution with Korea? What makes China bad and Korea good?

9) Support the implementation of a ban against late-term abortions and generally permit abortions in cases of rape, incest, or times when the mother's life is in danger.

Nope. Just generally permit abortions. Once you start allowing bans, it's a foot in the door for the right to lifers.

10) Propose as part of Social Security reform that retirees with incomes of more than $150,000 (in 2005 money) shall receive sharply reduced benefits. Anyone with $250,000 or more (in 2005 money) shall receive no benefits from Social Security.

Agreed with that.

11) Raise the retirement age to 75 years.

Why?

12) Support the full repeal of the USA Patriot Act.

Yeah, you lot should do that.

13) Pursue a limited non-intervention policy, with exceptions made for cases of genocide or other egregious crimes against humanity. However, along with this proviso, the United States shall also scale back international aid.

Ethical Non-Interventionism? Now thats an interesting concept.

Define "international aid" - military or humanitarian?

14) Churches, faith-based charities, and other religious organisations shall be subject to the same taxes as any for profit organisation.

Oh, yes, you do that.

15) Sign legislation adding sexual orientation, perceived sexual orientation, and gender identity to the applicable federal hate crimes legislation.

Well, it would be better to tackle the root problems of ignorance and stupidity than drive it underground, but i think tackling those problems would take more than two terms, so yes.

16) Halve the budget for rehabilitation programmes and devote that money toward punishment.

HAH! God, have you any IDEA how many people you lock up over there? Jesus. No.

17) Increase funding for education by two thirds. Decrease welfare, unemployment benefits, and other similar programmes by two thirds.

So, you can starve, but with a high school diploma. Caring.

18) Require balanced budgets and federal debt retirement.

*shrugs*

19) Establish English as the official language of the United States, but require foreign language education beginning in elementary school.

English is the official language of the United States, surely? Second bit is wise though.

20) Increase safeguards to prevent dictators from acquiring NATO powers arms, including a black list of countries who are not allowed to buy weapons.

Now, thats good.

If elected I would:

1) Advocate for the abolishment of the Euro in favour of individual national currencies.
Meh. Ok.

2) Support the adoption of the metric system in the United States.
Yeah it is better. Probably one of the only good things to have come out of France...

Meh to the first bit, because Im not an American and it's not really necessary. Fully in favour of the second bit.

4) Establish a system of civil marriage with all legal rights, priviledges, and responsibilities of current marriage and allow same- and opposite-sex couples to access it.
Sure.

5) Support the death penalty.
Im not necessarily against the death penalty on principle, but taking into account the irreversibility of it and the chances of mistakes with the fact that with appeals etc. it takes decades to actually execute someone anyway, I'm pretty ambivalent. Maybe borderline against.

6) Change American policy toward the Iraqi occupation by drawing lessons from the British occupation of Malaya. Cutting off support from the populace would be far more effective than fighting a traditional war against insurgents.
Whilst I think this is a good idea, this is an operational decision, not an administrative one.

7) Any disputes in the European Union shall be settled by a Court of Arbitration agreed upon by both parties in the dispute.
Nah, the EU doesn't work like that. We should do what Thatcher did and veto everything until they do what we tell them. Bwahahaha!

8) Favour a hardline stance toward China and advocate a solution to the North Korea problem.
Fair enough, but what do either of those things mean in practise?

9) Support the implementation of a ban against late-term abortions and generally permit abortions in cases of rape, incest, or times when the mother's life is in danger.
Meh. I don't really care that much about the abortion issue, but generally I'd say that if you're going to allow it at all it doesn't really matter when you allow it to take place.

10) Propose as part of Social Security reform that retirees with incomes of more than $150,000 (in 2005 money) shall receive sharply reduced benefits. Anyone with $250,000 or more (in 2005 money) shall receive no benefits from Social Security.
I suppose. I don't really see why people with an income of even above say $40,000 (I assume you mean pension, rather than working income) would actually require benefits. Perhaps just scale back benefits except to those who really need them, and then lower taxes?

11) Raise the retirement age to 75 years.
Better still, abolish the official retirement age and let people specify when taking out their pensions based on how much they are willing to pay in each <unit of time>.

12) Support the full repeal of the USA Patriot Act.
Aye, and all of the anti-libertarian legislation they're introducing in Britain. Frankly ID Cards and the NIR (National Identity Register) is far more scary than the USA PATRIOT Act.

13) Pursue a limited non-intervention policy, with exceptions made for cases of genocide or other egregious crimes against humanity. However, along with this proviso, the United States shall also scale back international aid.
But interventionism is good! Then again, I'm an Imperialist, so ignore me. Cutting back on government aid is good though. It's unfair to force people to give to charity through taxation.

14) Churches, faith-based charities, and other religious organisations shall be subject to the same taxes as any for profit organisation.
Sure.

15) Sign legislation adding sexual orientation, perceived sexual orientation, and gender identity to the applicable federal hate crimes legislation.
I don't agree with the idea of having "hate crimes" but if you insist on criminalising peoples' thoughts I suppose it only makes sense to add other groups to the list of 'hate targets'.

16) Halve the budget for rehabilitation programmes and devote that money toward punishment.
Nah, this is silly. If you think that drug adicts don't give up because they're not afraid enough of prison then you should meet some of these people and see what kind of a mess their lives are in. If anything, I would legalise the possession and use of drugs but increase penalties for its distribution. That way addicts are far less likely to have qualms about reporting their suppliers to the police and the whole system will be undermined from within by mutual distrust and paranoia. Much like what happened with the Maw-maws in Malaya, actually.

17) Increase funding for education by two thirds. Decrease welfare, unemployment benefits, and other similar programmes by two thirds.
Sure.

18) Require balanced budgets and federal debt retirement.
All governments try to do this dont they?

19) Establish English as the official language of the United States, but require foreign language education beginning in elementary school.
I don't really see the point in official languages. Nor do I really see the point in learning a foreign language if you already speak English. Nice, maybe, but not important enough to be compulsory.

20) Increase safeguards to prevent dictators from acquiring NATO powers arms, including a black list of countries who are not allowed to buy weapons.
Maybe. It depends really. Some dictators we have to support, like those in Saudi Arabia, with weapons because the alternative is having them collapse into far more tyrannical Islamist theocracies that cut off our oil supply and try to nuke Israel.
