So I'm watching Jon Stewart now, and Newt Gingrich is on the show. He then says that he was bothered by the political incorrectness of the opening sequence.
I really do hope he's kidding (considering the book he wrote that Jon showcased), because if somebody like Newt likes political correctness...

Didnt newt gingrich put his name on some books about the treasonous, slave-mongering south winning the civil war?
"gettysburg" and 'grant comes east' and some such?

I think Gingrich is making a play for the 2008 nomination. I also think that if he is, he's going about it the wrong way.
I think he said he was offended because the person they had covering the Micheal Jackson case was white. Or did I miss something?

Maybe he was trying to be funny... Sometimes a politician tries to do that when they show up on Jon Stewart's show.

He was indeed trying to make a joke about 'political correctness,' but since that wasn't the topic at hand and the jokes and claims of political correctness are hackneed, Stewart deflected it and they went on to Gingrich pandering to the South for votes in 3 1/2 years.
