That young doe is about 35 feet away from my screened porch.
I figure she's right at 80-100lbs now, but should be a good and edible size in about 2 years... :sniper:
There's usually 3-5 that travel together... maybe there's a bigger one about.
BBQ Back Strap anyone? :D

Except for Vermin (2 or 4 legs) I don't kill it if I'm not going to eat it.
mmmmmmmmmmmmm, delish. Venison steaks all around! Then the wine and beer. Get that salad the hell away from me, who needs rabbit food when meats on the spit.

I think I would have already nailed it with an arrow, and dragged it into my garage, butchered it, and packed it in my freezer.
The tenderloin would be in the smoker right now.

Patience...Patience.
Then sausages. Most definately sausages.
I'm for shooting things in the cases of food/pests. And clays for the hell of it. My uncle shoots squirrels with an air rifle because they steal the nuts he puts out for the birds...

I was kinda expecting gunsights in the photograph. :)

Nah. I'm not that good with Photoshop.
I think I would have already nailed it with an arrow, and dragged it into my garage, butchered it, and packed it in my freezer. The tenderloin would be in the smoker right now. She was too small for my sense of fair play. Besides, No time. She was only out for about 3 minutes total. The only thing I could have tried with is a 2" .32ACP with no (practical) sights. Noisy and inefficient at those ranges.
