PoliticsForum Quiz - Anyone up for discussion?

I got this adress (THIS ONE (http://www.orgburo.com/pofoquiz/pofo.php) ) from someone on the board here. It's a great test, different than the Political Compass though, and much bigger too. It asks 80 questions, and then judges you on 8 categories - Individual/Social, Theist/Materialist, Big Government/Small Government, Nationalist/Internationalist, Protectionist/Free Trader, Absolutist/Non-Absolutist, Controlled Market/Liberal Market, and Marxist/Non-Marxist. Basically, it just gives you a percentage for each category - the lower the percentage, the more toward the left, and reversed.

So, as for discussion? Were you surprised? Would you rather have seen your results differently? Or was it just a confirmation of what you already knew?

Now, this quiz has a lot of potential for discussion, so let's try to keep it a bit orderly, k? That is, of course, in the case that anyone actually replies to this. Here's mine. I'm not gonna go into what I think about my results yet, because if this thread dies the minute it's born, I'll just look like an idiot - if that's not already the case. And please, no posting pics of colored bars - the scores will do.

'Overall, the PoliticsForum quiz considers you a socially-orientated, theist, internationalist, non-absolutist, controlled-market kind of person, who also seems quite Marxist.'
'You scored 62 out of 100 on a scale of Individual vs Social. This means that politically you are more likely to value the need for group actions and group benefit over individual enterprise and benefit'
'You scored 36 out of 100 on a scale of Theist vs Materialist. This means that politically you are less likely to believe that religion and spirituality are superstitions that should not inform political debate.'
'You scored 51 out of 100 on a scale of Big Government vs Small Government. This means that politically you are neither more nor less likely to believe that government should keep out of legislating social policies, leaving such decisions to individuals'
'You scored 70 out of 100 on a scale of Nationalist vs Internationalist. This means that politically you are more likely to favour international bodies over national ones.'
'You scored 45 out of 100 on a scale of Protectionist vs Free Trader. This means that politically you are neither more nor less likely to favour free trade over protectionist policies.'
'You scored 83 out of 100 on a scale of Absolutist vs Non Absolutist. This means that politically you are less likely to believe that there is an absolute truth that may guide your ideological beliefs.'
'You scored 20 out of 100 on a scale of Controlled Market vs Liberal Market. This means that politically you are more likely to believe that there is need for government regulation of industry.'
'You scored 37 out of 100 on a scale of Marxist vs Non-Marxist. This means that politically you are more likely to follow the philosophies of Marx.'

Anyone? Of course - take the test first.

Well, this test summed it up pretty well for me. I guess the only thing that really surprised me was the part where 'you are less likely to believe that religion and spirituality are superstitions that should not inform political debate'. I really don't know how I ended up like this. Maybe I mistook a politics test for a personal beliefs system test at some point. I am most definitely not a religious person, I am pretty much agnostic about everything there is in life - but on the other end I do recognize man's inherent weakness and need to be able to have someone to talk to about personal problems. 'God is an imaginary friend for adults' - though in my case, replace imaginary with 'may or may not exist' - but we all need friends, even if they're of the imaginary kind.
About the Protectionist/Free Trader - I have to admit that I'm not extremely well informed about global economy, so I though it best to answer a lot of question relating to this subjuct with 'Neutral', which would account for my rather centrist rating on this category.

Almost forgot:
These characteristics would put you in the overall category of marxist. Your natural home at PoliticsForum would be the Communism area.

As far as my personal ideals are concerned, yes, probably. But I don't really believe in communism anymore. Man is inherently selfish and egocentric.

I was wondering that myself. Did you have an epiphany concerning individual liberty and personal responsibility?

I had one of those before I registered to vote. I considered myself a "left-wing Republican" until I found out there were alternatives more befitting my political philosophy.

Glad to have a smartass like you on our side now! :D

I do belive this is a superior test compared to Political compass...but it still is incomplete. At best you get a vague generalization of your core beliefs as viewed by the hypotheticals they present you with.

Questions I would like to have seen asked are absent, the entire focus seemed to limited in scope (which is a little odd I suppose, since there are quite a few more than Political compass's).

Again they seem to leave out military matters entirely. Questions about diplomacy and relations between states and international bodies were hopelessly simplistic, giving an unrealistic view of such matters.

Meh. Nothing beats talking to someone, and finding out what they think as situations arise.
