For what the band does:
Lost To Apathy, by Dark Tranquillity. No one flips out as well as Henriksson, to say nothing of Stanne's own antics, or the fact that Stanne looks like some sort of psychotic metal Jesus. It gets some points for using the amazing album artwork for the transitions, but in terms of artistry on the video side, it can't hold a candle to...

Flowers Become Screens by Delerium(it's oddly enough on the 2nd disc of Chimera, not on Semantic Spaces).

'Sober' by Tool.

I'm probably missing quite a few, but from the top of my head:

Johnny Cash - Hurt
Sigur Ros - Untitled # 1 and viðrar vel til loftárása

Blink 182 - Miss You (so shoot me, but this is still a great video, and no, I'm not a fan either) Placed this apart, because it's a great video, but nowhere near the level of the other 2/3

These aren't neccesarily cool videos, but they certainly have class

I'd forgotten about that one. It gets my vote-no other music video has managed to make me cry.

Same here; I should've actually placed some indicator to distinguish this from Blink 182 - now I love the video from 'Miss You', but not if hell froze over would that possibly be able to live up to the most bone-chilling, making-you-feel-warm-inside, and shivers on the outside, absolute wonder of 'Untitled # 1'

Tool's video for Parabol and Parabola is the best. I haven't seen the video for Prison Sex so I'll take your word for it and rank it at second.

I always liked "Last Cup of Sorrow" (Vertigo takeoff) and "A Small Victory" by Faith No More, and "Angry Chair" by Alice in Chains. "Estranged" by GnR is pretty cool, perhaps a bit overblown. "Bulls on Parade" by Rage is pretty good, but far from their best song.

Tool's a bit melodramatic and pretentious for my tastes. Never understood the mass appeal, Maynard's kind of a douche.

Lacuna Coil's Swamped is probably my current favourite, but that's more the song than the video.

Linkin Park have a few good ones, including Breaking the Habit and In the End.
The Nazz

Not quite as old school as my last pick, but still pretty old--"Praise You" by Fatboy Slim. That was a pretty odd video, I thought.

The coolest video, to me, would have to be Just by Radiohead. No pretension or overt humour, just damn clever.

Weapon of Choice by Fat Boy Slim: It has Christopher Walken, how can you beat THAT?

Also DJ Format - 3 Feet Deep (http://www.keithschofield.com/djformat-video): A MUST for video gamers, it's just hilarious.

Aside from that, I really don't know that many videos, as I don't watch music on TV.

how does Christopher Walken make it good, he's like Michael Jackson and William Shatner had a child. Slow speech and scares little children.

Here's a list of my favs in no particular order (I've done this several times before)

Pearl Jam - Jeremy (the uncensored version)
Eminem - Stan (notice Stan's face reflects in the lightning at the end)
Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice
Johnny Cash - Hurt
Korn - Freak on a Leash (I want to one day do my bedroom like their set)
REM - Everybody Hurts
Limp Bizkit - Rearranged
Foo Fighters - Learn to Fly
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Guns & Roses - November Rain
Britney Spears - Everytime (and not just because she dies at the end :) )
Green Day - Warning
Billy Talent - Nothing to lose
Simple Plan - Untitled (get this video if you haven't seen it. I lost my brother and a car accident and this is pretty much how it feels)

Regarding the Tool debate -- I would put Prison Sex first and Parabol(a) second. Prison sex does the best job of representing the song, and is really quite a 'graphic' video. Parabola is just cool - that ending looks so nice.

edit: Tool pretentious? To me they seem to be the most 'authentic' band. It seems like they are years ahead of all other bands. Their lyrics read like well written poetry.
