Does anyone know what they are, and does anyone know how to make them?

I've only heard this term when referring to Ecstacy.

No, I don't know how to make MDMA.

In this context it's a craze that's running through the UK apparently....little wire-like plastic tubes making necklaces and things.....They're making lots of money off em on ebay.

Sadly, another pathetic craze to hit Great Britain.

Is the non-learning how to spell pathetic a deliberate thing (like a special word meaning something different) or are you just crap at spelling?

I don't get the point of them, maybe I'm too old, but I don't see what's so great about a few pieces of plastic wrapped around each other and hung on a bag. The kids I look after think they're great though
Bring back yo-yo's! (Or in my case yo's :( )

My friend told me that Skoobie snacks means heroin. I though that was a bit odd, because I thought Shaggy was just a pothead. I mean everytime they open the door of their mystery van smoke comes out and Shaggy keeps talking to his dog and thinking he can talk back, and Shaggy always has the munchies. Still the classic song, "Running aroung robbing banks all wacked out on Skoobie snacks," is evidence that Skoobie snacks could be heroin.

they are really easy to make in a way it's a little like weaving and look cool once thier made ( its 2 pieces of flexible plastic stings wrapped together)

oh yes. Skoobies. You tie them in knots or something. A pastime of terminally bored. More of a girls' thing really.

My little sisters are obsessed with them.
Apparently there are loads of different shapes you can make with them. My sister showed me how to do a four-string square, but they spend ages discussing how to make crazy big six-string ones. The big gossip at their school is that someone made a Skoobie (or scoubidoo, to give them their full name. Believe me, I've seen the packet) with 10 strings! Can you imagine? You can buy tons of them for about £1.00. They were really happy when they got these sort of transparent glittery ones that are 80cm long. That's long, for a skoobie.
They can make things like friendship bracelets out of them, but mostly they just lie around the house, half-finished. Well, they look half-finished. I have no idea what they're supposed to look like when they're finished.
What a great idea. Coming up with the idea of putting a load of incredibly-cheap-to-manufacture plastic strings on the market and turning it into a craze. Nightmare for conservationists, though.

It is all a bit pointless though, like pokemon. Remember that? Every child in Britain had those cards.

You can find what is, as far as I can tell, one of the main suppliers of skoobies at http://www.ozbozz.co.uk/Scoob/skoobie_pge.html (this website)

How very girly they are.

Finally, I am no longer a n00b. Despite having done nationstates since january. I really ought to post more.

No, it had no relevance the topic, but I'm so very happy. :)
