I Love AND Hate Everybody-Fun!

I hate the entire human race because all we do is fight and hate and argue when we could accept that everyone has different opinions and beliefs and agree to disagree. We could be a peaceful civilized world of united individuals who love and respect each other, and instead we are horrid, selfish, arrogant people who would love to kill/murder/blow this or that person/country up. I hate everyone.

But, then, I love everyone. Every human being has beauty within them and I can see it-there are no true "monsters" or "evil beings", not really. I love everyone even when I disagree with them, even when I feel they hate/oppress me. I would die for the rights of a total stranger, regardless of their level of appreciation, or lack thereof.

So, how do you view the human race, as a whole? What do you think of my views? Let's not let this dissolve into a flame-fest. Hopefully it can be a lovely, interesting conversation.

exactly like you. i mean that - you took the words right out of my mouth.

though the word 'love' might be a tad strong in my case - i respect others, not unconditionally love them. its a shame cos i think any such universal love i would feel is being blocked by my intense anger at the world... the hate you mention.

this is why i try to stop myself hating and being angry, but its damn hard. this is also why i agree with what the hippy philosophy says, and want to be a hippie, but i'm just too angry to be one :(
its also partly why i'm so confused

I'm pretty much indifferent to people I don't personally know - I don't hate them, nor do I love them. Of course I am freindly and polite to everyone and I always give people the benifit of the doubt.
I have in the past hated others, but this has always been temporary (at most a day) and is normally replace with a feeling of pity towards the person in question.

I totally agree PM-I would be a great hippie if I wasn't anti-drugs and totally angry and stuff. Hell, it seems I was born to be a hippie-right now I'm wearing an oversized tie-dye t-shirt, and I've loved this form of fashion since I was 8 years old.
