I've never really been unsatisfied with how I look, except for oversized ears when I was young. I've noticed lately, though, that a lot of people are very unhappy with their bodies today. Is there anyone here that would go to extreme lengths (eating disorders, gastric bypass, plastic surgery, botox) to change who they are? What would your method of change be? Why would you want to do this to yourself?

I voted that I was happy, but I'd change it if I had the money. I now regret this option as it might involve surgery. Surgery with big, shiney knives and doctors who're only there cause they flunked the whole "Fixing people" part of medicine.

Haha, it's not quite that simple. These doctors make a lot more money than a lot of doctors. These repairments of people cost quite a bit of money and aren't that easy.

You're name says it all. I agree with you on the exercising part, and I believe than anyone who has the ability to exercise should. That would cut down on a lot of people's insecurities.

id spend money on make up.

id buy new clothes

id take a diet pill if i thought it wasnt either dangerous or an utter scam (that is all that is available today)

i might get one of those lazer face lifts if it was cheap enough (after a while, im not that old yet)

id spend money to whiten my teeth. id get them all capped if it wasnt too expensive.

id dye my hair

im very leery of the risks and results of surgery. personality is much more important in how people think of you than any flaw might be.

i'm unhappy. i've been told i'm good looking but i am overweight, and thats something i'd certainly like to change. problem is i'm just too lazy and i love food far too much (i really love food... kinda want to be a chef one day, see)
so if i had the money and if it were gaurenteed safe, i'd consider liposuction. the lazy way to loose weight

oh and i do want laser eye surgery, but thats largely cos i've been wearing glasses most of my life and i'm sick of wearing em

My only complaint about my appearance is my physique. I used to be in awesome shape and had the nice physique that went with. No I'm just a skinny dude. I'm working on fixing that using sensible measures, more exercise, biking everywhere, eating right. I don't expect instant results. I'm just going back to doing all the healthy things I did when I was in such good shape.

But with money I could buys clothes, I have a weakness for being a clothes horse. It'd be nice to design my own clothing with help from a taylor who could then turn those designs into reallity. Who needs Haute Cotour when youcan have Moi Cotour.

I'd also have laser eye surgery for my myopeia. Not strictly cosmestic, but my glasses and contacts do a fine job of correcting my vision already.

If I was very rich I'd also do things like have my skin temporarily dyed Sky Blue, and other such things, just because I could. I'd never go for actual plastic surgery unless it was reconstructive surgery to correct injuries I might get in a car accident.

The only thing I would do to change my appearance if I had the dough to do so would be to perhaps invest in facials every now and then and get someone else to pluck my eyebrows for me so they end up all nice all the time. Perhaps get some of those whitening teeth strips.

And a personal trainer who will force me to actually stick to an exercise routine so that I can be healthier and perhaps a little more toned.

I would only go for plastic surgery if it was reconstructive or if I end up saggy.

I'm unhappy with certain parts of my appearance, but I think I'll just live with it. I would never go to extreme measures to change myself.
