Maddox
I know there have to be some Maddox readers on these boards, if not, die, now.
That said and all of Maddox's awesomeness aside, am I alone in saying that his last four or five updates have been crappy? "I hate Cameron Diaz"... ohh me too, who cares? Websense was like the last good update he did besides Orbitz... but a lot of his recent stuff doesn't seem that good. "Steaming Pile of Sith"- surprise surprise Maddox things the movie was bad... I absolutley love most of his stuff, and myself am responsable for introducing it to my entire school, where it continues to spread like wild, but do you guys see what I am saying?
Yeah, but he does have a talent for making the offensive hallarious.

They're rants. He's not doing them to amuse you. If he wants to express how much he hates Cameron Diaz and her show he's not going to type it into an ultra super secret Word document, hidden from the world cause he doesn't think you'll agree with him. Nor will he scrap something he really believes just to write something he thinks you'd laugh at.

It's just one guy's website. Popular yeah, but it's still just his thoughts and opinions and he has no responsibility to entertain the masses.

He also, you know, works for a living. He likely doesn't have hours and hours a day to come up with material.

Maddox is the supreme champion ruler of the entire universe.
I stopped being impressed with Maddox about two years ago. Justin Abrotsky's the way to go. 8)

Like he's said, he made the site to express himself, not to entertain people.

Never heard of him until posted this. I Googled it and./...thats a really well put together site. Maddox is occasionaly hilarious, but his scathing cynsicism for EVERYTHING is the best part.

Not everything, there are things he does like.
In fact, parts of his behaviors remind me exactly of my roommate...

While I agree with whoever said he wasn't trying to impress anyone (may have been you, I'm too lazy to go back), he does have the site up to entertain others. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a public website. It'd be random musings jotted down on paper in his bedroom or entries in a locked online journal. o_O

I actually find Maddox quite amusing in some instances. I'm glad that at least one of my fellow ranters is intelligent enough to use pure html in lieu of that abomination called FrontPage...
Anyway, yeah, Maddox is pretty cool.

For a website with a simple layout, learning HTML is probably much easier and quicker than learning to use a website maker program.

Maddox is humorous; however, he is overly insulting to his readers. Perhaps he doesn't realize that without them, he'd have no power. You say he does this for himself, yet he sells t-shirts and the like to make money. I am amused by his occasional rants (whenever he gets around to updating), but you're right: he is in this for himself. Notice also that he has a book coming out soon. Think he cares about what his readers think? Perhaps not, but I'd put a wager on the fact that he's interested in his readers' money.

It's entertaining every once in a while, but for the most part just seems...simplistic, even juvenile. Maddox's humor reminds me of that of my teenage friends, except Maddox is significantly older than them, and should really be a bit wiser. All that aside, it's still good for a laugh fairly often.

I have to agree. It's quite annoying that some people still refuse to even attempt learning html -- some even still call it gibberish...*shakes head* It's far simpler than most (if not all) other programming languages.

But guys, he sells t-shirts and maybe a book and gets money for it, so what? Every-one of us would do thesame thing ;)

Easier than BASIC?
