What do you think is your worst personality flaw that might not normally be considered a flaw at all?

For me, it's my compassion/maternal instinct. I care about other people who aren't me WAAAAAY too much. :p Seriously, I always take it upon myself to take care of people who can't take care of themselves, or befriend people who are social outsiders, you know. What is my problem?

Paranoia. I'll make a great dictator one day.

Being gullible has gotten people into incredible messes too. I think it's got to be one of the worst mistakes you can make- being too trusting.

Wow, that's funny... I never thought I'd meet another person like that. I'm very much a protector. I like to watch out for people... all my friends, my family... everyone.
I stopped befriending social outsiders awhile ago though... they got too irritating for me to handle and I promised myself I wouldn't make friends with someone just because they were all alone. That's not to say I won't, just that I don't make a point of it anymore.

I also do that sort of. I'm working on acting "normal" around everyone. When I'm at my friend's house I'm... really annimated. I make tons of silly facial expressions and I always make everyone laugh. If you saw me over there you'd think I was an extrovert... even though I've very introverted.

Let's see... the last thing is that I don't turst anyone. I even have trouble trusting my best friend. And my un-official boy friend.
I want to trust them, but... I had my 3 'good' friends all leave me a long time ago... after that I decided no one was trust worthy. I had no friends and I didn't need any... or so I thought. Them Sam came along and we're best friends now. Still, if I don't hear from her for about a week I start thinking that she's not my friend anymore.

I once befriended someone just because she WEREN'T popular; she was a new kid, her middle name was Ella and her last name was Phant, and she was somewhat overweight. I made the mistake of being nice to her, and she never stopped following me around. She was SO annoying! All she did was agree with everything I said, poor, desperate girl.

Eventually she annoyed me so much, I said, "Look, I'm sorry, but I remember when I made an effort to be nice to you your first day here? It was because nobody else seemed to give you a chance, and I felt sorry for you."

She was like, "You're only my friend because you feel sorry for me?" and she stormed off. OH, the guilt.

Have to be bashed over the head to have a hope of picking up on any subtle messages.

That was horrible. you should have simply told her that you would value more, her own origional opinions. I have had friends like this before and once i let them know that my friendship wasn't conditional upon my acceptence of their ideas we have grown into much better friends. Some poeple are desperate to find a confidant(sp?) or friend and will do anything not to lose one once found. The whole point of being a friend is to be a part of a support system for all parties involved.
I have plenty of people in my life that I don't agree with all the time yet I still consider friends. Maybe that's what you might have said to her. Some people just need a little push in the right direction.

I'm the exact same way.

An additional personality flaw:
I care about nearly everything. A lot. It would control my life if I let it. However, I've managed to turn it off and instead I act as though I care about nothing and I don't let anything bother me!

I still don't know what it is about me, but I am always underestimated. ...maybe I smile too much? I'm blonde? I'm female? Whatever, it works to my advantage often, but I wish I didn't have to fight to be taken seriously.

Wow. I'm messed up. I kinda knew that.... but I didn't think I'd be that messed up.

Well one would be that I get attached to people and things. For example, we are think of moving to a different house. The house we live in right now, I've lived in my entire life, and I get really sad when we talk about moving (even though the house we are looking at is two blocks away). Also, I had a hard time leaving my middle school teachers behind on the last day of school.

Another one would be that I'm kind of shy. I don't talk a whole lot around people I don't know, and I'm not the most social person in the world.

Sorry to anyone that may have freaked out.

That's easy. My biggest personality flaw is arrogance. It's been so long that I've run into a situation that was overwhelming, or felt would "break" me that I've adopted an invincibility complex. It's not a pushy or condecending arrogance, nor does it mean that I feel I'm the end-all be-all but it is a personal better than thou attitude.
