R2-D2 is better in the new movies C-3PO is better in the originals

I don't 3P0 is going to stand a chance. Just a guess. 3P0 is a tool, R2-D2 owns.

R2-D2, no contest. He's just much cooler. C-3PO is just annoying, and doesn't really do anything entertaining besides argue with R2-D2.

R2-D2 seems to be doing everything. From activating elevators, spy camera's hacking computers. Everything!

3Po's only purpose is to be a maid, and translator.

R2 is the one who alway bail everyone out of trouble. 3PO just can't shut up though

I must admit that is the first time I have ever heard C3PO referred to as a tool. That's worth a bump in its own right.. bump bump..

HAL 9000 > R2D2 or C3P0

R2-D2 is the only reason any of the first(last) three happened, he was more of a plot motivator than Toto. Which is why it would have made total narrative sense to have Anikan build R2, and then at that one moment of crisis/clarity he insures that his robot, the one he built to take care of him and his mom, watches out for 'things' (like a kid(s)) should anything happen to him. And look how beautiful that would have played into the next three...But noooooo, for some ass reason he was building a dime a dozen unremarkable and timid(WHY?) Ettiquete(sp) droid. Dammit.

R2-D2, most definitely.

They're both pretty lame, but I voted C3PO, for his campy dialogue and silly walk.

3po's a pain in the ass. All he does is bitch and moan and fall apart. How many times has his head been chopped off only to show up in assine comical situations? I'd ditch this robotic accident at the first opportunity.



I must say, in his defense, that he was much better comic relief than Jar-Jar Binks or even Ewoks.

Hes a p[imp in the new three, and funny in the true trilogy. Threepeo is also funny in the real trilogy, but thats because of his own failing, not his success, like Artoo is.
But regardless, IG-88 is the best. He's the brain of the Death Star II, for crying out loud!

when you watch the simpsons where they have the droid tag team battles and then star wars, you see how gay C3-PO is

Oh come on...have you ever seen 3PO do anything other than act as a foil for R2? R2, all on his own, beat up droids 4x his size, and that's just in Ep 3. Gotta love R2.
