Okay, here are the rules....

1) No "I think he was the worst because he's so popular" or "he looks ugly so he was the worst" type decisions. You must vote by ideology and works.

2) Vote only for who you think was worst.

3) Please post and back up your claims.

4) Keep it civil please.

*Wait for the poll please.

John Tyler without question. He was such a terrible leader its unbeleivable. Just to spite congres he vetoed almost every peace of legislation that they passed and then they overturned his veto (more overturned vetoes than any other president if I'm not mistaken). Once more, he joined the Confederacy and probably would have become its first president if he hadn't died. His last words by the way were something along the lines of "nobody ever liked me except my horse." A well deserved circumstance for an inefective leader and traiter.

I liked John Adams as a man, and as a Founding Father, but he wasn't that great a President.

John Adams sucked. Alien and Sedition Acts? I mean, come on.

As I said, I liked Adams, just not as a President.

Instead of choosing the most capable canidate for the cabinet positions i am going to select my friends. Excellent precedent to start up andrew, well done. While your at it why not crusade against banks.

I vote Jackson.

Not only for trail of tears.

He didn't do anything to stop Missourians from murdering, persecuting, and driving my ancestors from their land and from the country. They even made an Extermination order against us Mormons and Jackson couldn't be bothered.

Had no respect for the natives of this country & didn't have enough common sense to stay out of the rain.

Did nothing for this country as President

John Adams

He helped build the country, then he almost destroyed it. Thomas Jefferson had to come in and set things straight again.

I know very little about most of these guys but...

John Adams! For the Alien and Sedition Acts. Violating the constitution he helped write was pretty bad, wasn't it?

But from reading these Harrison and Jackson sound pretty atrocious too.

Jackson wasn't all bad. He deserves major props for getting rid of the national bank (for awhile, at least. Damn you, Wilson! :upyours: )

some how I don't think "getting rid of a bank" and "letting countless people be killed" balance eachother out. ;)

I never said they did. I just wish people would look at every aspect of Jackson, warts and all- not just not the warts.

Funny story. I'm related to Andrew Jackson on my mother's side of my family, while I'm related to the Indians he sent on the Trail of Tears on my dad's side. And you thought the Addam's Family was weird.

Johnd Adams is underrated and Thomas Jefferson overrated.

However, Jackson is clearly the worst. Spoils system, attacked the national bank, had the federal government do almost nothing, violated an order from the Supreme Court, and defied George Washington's plan to assimiliate the Indians.
The only thing he DID do right was sending a ship into Charleston to stop that stupid nullification crisis.
