I just thought I'd take this chance to wish Ireland luck tomorrow, even though I'm Israeli. Hope it turns out to be a good match, and I'm sure it will. So if you're Irish, good luck, same for the off chance there's another Israeli around.

Well good luck to you guys too :)
You've done remarkably well so far in the group stages, holding France to a draw also! So long as you work a wee bit of magic against the Swiss we'll be very happy. :p :D

Apologies. I would explain but it's unlikely you would understand our calendar or the concept of football if you are not from our planet

Wait...did you say football? Of course I've heard of football. If you'd said something like that at first I would have understood perfectly! And your calendar? I know that one rotation of the Terran axis lasts 0.27 years. That ought to be enough.

OK, if one of our years is approximately 1/4 of your years, you can watch the whole thing next summer our time, or three months in your time (I presume you use a 12 month calendar?!?)

OK, if one of our years is approximately 1/4 of your years, you can watch the whole thing next summer our time, or three months in your time (I presume you use a 12 month calendar?!?)Actually, our calendar system is very confusing at the moment. A day is only as long as I say it will be, but sometimes I forget to announce that the day is over and we have days lasting a very long time. (We're an underground community on Ganymede.) I therefore decided to make the day 18 hours long, and measured an hour as 1hr = ~4 Terran hrs. Therefore after 11 hrs = ~43 Terran hours, lights go out. For 7 hrs = ~28 Terran hours the lights are out and people sleep - like "night". It takes 20.4 days for the first cycle to be completed (1/10 of our trip around the sun). Therefore a year = (204 x 18) x 4 / 365 = ~40 Terran years. I misjudged the formula; it's 0.027 years for Terra, 0.27 months. But I'll watch the whole thing anyway.

five minutes, 1-0 Ireland
ten minutes, 2-0 Ireland
30 minutes, Israel's first shot (well wide of goal)
You can all see where this is going..... unless....
38 minutes, 2-1
47 minutes, a penalty is given, then retaken, then retaken again until the referee is satisfied that all players were outside the box. 2-2, and Israel are right back in it! Come on you Blues!!!

You, obviously like me, are from the US. By, football, he doesn't mean American football. It's called soccer here. Basically, America is one of the few countries where soccer isn't popular...

LOL...did he score 3 times?
First time he ran over the ball before he hit it. Second and third he scored.
But if it was up to me, O'Brien would have got a three match ban at the least for what he did.
Awat got a kick in the face, kept playing. Someone hit him by accident in the face again, kept playing. O'Brien landed on him, and when Awat tried to get up, he punched him in the face. O'Brien got a clear red for it, but it should have been more. Other than that, if anyone would care to explain to me how Ireland didn't score a third time, feel free:D

the next israeli goal is switzerland in september. this time we should win, and qualify to the world cup.

btw, Iran win 1:0 in North korea at the dictatorships match in the asian group 2. in thursday they probably get the world cup with japan.
what you think, Israel vs Iran at the world cup?

Israel-Iran would be perfect for us. Remember what happened at the Olympics? The Iranian judoist refused to fight Ze'evi, and Ze'evi won on a technical. Or the Eurovision, where Lebanon refused to participate if Israel were there, so Lebanon got kicked out :p
Should make our first round a whole lot easier, playing Iran.

Haha yup, exactly. The funny thing was that Ze'evi's next opponent was supposed to be Algerian- and I almost expected him, too, to not show up :D

Who won the match?

Israel 2-2 Ireland, damn good game. You automatically notice the Israeli's, they're the ones who'll drink so much they'll put the Irish to shame, then will stagger round looking for a fight, all with an Israeli flag wrapped around them.

My sister was there with some friends. :D

You what? Yes, you may have got some, borderline decisions.
But what the hell did Awat do wrong? He wasn't the one who punched an injured guy in the face. If only you could charge someone with assault over something like that, Andy wouldn't see light of day for a year or so. It was violent, reckless and uncalled for. Its the sort of thing I'd expect from Roy Keane, not from O'Brien. That said, there was a picture of Roy Keane up in the stands just after it happened, chuckling away as if something was funny.

oh please, anytime anyone went near Awat he fell over claiming an injury, and to remind you he grabbed Andy O'Brien around the neck from behind, all o'brien did was turn and push him away.
also did anyone see when Awat was down "injured", got up to scream at an Irish player (looking fine might i add) only to immediately fall back down holding his nose when the ref looked at him. priceless

your players kicked him in the face many times, and if I quote one of them, they said "too bad we didn't kicked him harder".
irish fan at the hotel throw on him big ice can. other fans throw stones on the israeli bus.
your goal keeper blame us as "murderer who wasn't punished". some other player said "maybe this is legatimate playing in the place they come from". what this, if not racism?
and if I judge from one of the irish reporters sayings, all the curses and mockery screams at the end, made on the israeli national team in the first time at history!

what happened, you been so nice and kind before the game. are you sure you aren't too much upset about the score?

Uuuuh, yes, because anytime anyone went near Awat it was with one of the following raised:
Foot,
Elbow,
Fist.
Always to the face as well.

"and if I quote one of them, they said "too bad we didn't kicked him harder"."
Hazarding a guess, I'd say that was Roy Keane, the guy who's a bigger terrorist than the entire IRA together.

"and to remind you he grabbed Andy O'Brien around the neck from behind, all o'brien did was turn and push him away. "
Or not, maybe he tried to get up and O'Brien, the little angel that he is, swung round and hit him in the face?

"also did anyone see when Awat was down "injured", got up to scream at an Irish player (looking fine might i add) only to immediately fall back down holding his nose when the ref looked at him. priceless"

Yeeees, didn't that come with a bit of contact? i.e an Irish player pushing him over? Face it, everytime there was a punch-up Ireland not only started it, but also had more people involved.
