I was quite taken back by this latest western show last night on Fox, it was incredibly crass, but humourous and realistic also. One part that actually shocked me, was when a naked thug kicked a door open actually holding his erect penis during a sex scene in the whorehouse above the saloon.
Not to mention the incredible amount of swearing.
More evidence of western culture needing crassness to entertain and stimulate it.

On Fox???? It's on HBO in the states. Are you saying they are showing Deadwood on broadcast TV somewhere??? That show is completely filled with profanity and frontier lewdness. I love it.

Its not shown free to air here if thats what you mean by broadcast.
I do like the show, but it goes abit far sometimes.
Last night was the first show shown in Australia, Just before it came on they had an advertisement for season two starting in America probably.
Its like a western sopranos, but even more..yeah.

HBO is "Home Box Office" - the original cable TV movie Channel. It is the granddaddy of them all. Sopranos and Deadwood are HBO original productions. In the states, Fox is the 4th largest broadcast tv network and has a number of cable tv channels.
