If Felt has confessed then I'll be surprised if Woodward and Bernstein don't confirm soon.

No acid, though. We attracted enough attention as it was without getting arrested for drug use.

Felt probably confessed because he's dying. He's been in poor health for awhile so confirmation may be soon anyway.

Anyways, this isn't just ANYBODY. He's the former #2 of the FBI and there is plenty of evidence to support his confession.

Woodward and Bernstein's confirmation would be icing on the cake though.

Not many these days, if you'll care to look around.

The exact opposite seems to be in vogue among US journalists, especially if they have a political axe to grind.

Woody and Bernie are the last of their kind. The very last. No journalist today a) would be able to keep their mouth shut for 10 seconds, and b) would be able to put the story out without massively distorting it, making up documents and photos with Photoshop, and telling outright unsubstantiated lies.

I'd agree, in the last 10 years alone, a lot of credibility has gone down the drain. But there are those in the field trying to change that; as always, it's unfortunate that a few events gone bad have given the entire field and its participants a bad name.

How utterly fascinating!

The true identity of deep throat, the origins of his unusual methods, and the innocuous but fateful meeting a high ranking beauracrat in the FBI had with a newspaper journalist.

Much could be learned from this story. I would suggest that this story is far more important than many are giving it credit for.

We as a nation would do well to understand this story and its implications and importance.
