i like it. whats wrong with it? its a peacful alternative to occupation.
the other side says it cuts off farmers from their land. so what? the US constitution says that so long as their is just compensation the government can take away your land in the name of security.
clearly the wall is working because terrorist attacks are down significantly in the areas where the barrier is completed.

I agree with thebarrier. It does what it says on the tin. Keeps ppl out, its the same reason they built peace walls in Northern Ireland. To try and put a stop to endless violence. It worked here and its working in Israel. Yes it violates ppls rights, I wish it didn't, but the constant threat of violence also violates rights. This isn't a voice of support for Israel, who need to be called on their treatment of Palestinians, especially in refugee camps
But the wall has got to stay until there is some form of a proven to work peace agreement.

Since the construction began, the number of successful terrorist attacks went down 80%. That's hundreds of lives saved. Any whine about confiscated lands and property damage should be seen in exactly this perspective: property of one side vs. human lives of the other side. And anyone who values property over human life is lacking basic morality.

I have mixed feelings. the wall has been wonderful in cutting down the terror attacks ( terrorist >> :headbang: ) so it has to be a good thing, and I kind of hope that it will be extended into the Jordan valley. but I don't want it to become the boundaries of another arab state, so I am not sure

I'm all fine and dandy with the purpose of the wall. I am opposed to The Wall though, because it encroaches on Palestinian land, not following the borders set down in the road map to peace.

That is so true, no arguing about that. But that does not justify the Israeli land grab.

it is not a "land grab," Judea and Samaria are part of the land of Israel.

I may have missed something. But what does the US constitution have to do with Israel and Palestine?

Back to the topic. I agree with Lovfro.

If the wall was built on the internationally recognized border (The Green Line) -or better yet set one foot back on the Isreali side- I could support it.

As it is now constituted, it's an Apartheid Wall and a vicious brutal land grab.

I've read the posts on this thread mentioning terrorist attacks, but I haven't read a single word about the ongoing deaths and displacement of Palestinians. Are you ignorant of Palestinians sufferings or just apathetic?
