Which do you think would be worse, and why?

Having sex with someone you hate, or watching the one you love have sex with someone you hate?
Personally, I think it would be worse to watch the person I love having sex with someone I hate.
Why? Well, because I think it's like watching someone urinate all over a beautiful painting that you spent years of your life creating. The person I hate wouldn't even be worthy to touch the person I love, not to mention ruin them.
The person would be "soiled" in my eyes after being with someone I hate. Not that I'd necessarily love them less, but they just would be.

personally I really don't actually hate anyone, although I do have a strong dislike for the way certain people tend to behave.
although I have wiled away a daydream or two considering the possibilities of a serious s&m session with some of them, although they are little more then daydreams as part of the attraction of s&m is the trust between players.
on a more topical note, if I had a significant other and they were sleeping with *anyone* else, no matter how much I liked or disliked them then it would be over.
People I hate happen to be ugly people. It's an unfortunate coincidence for this question. Either way I'll barf up something awful.

I do not know about other people but this thread has a high, Hunh? factor and possibly an Ewwwww! factor.
1. Why would you want to have sex with a person you hate in the first place?
2. Unless I'm reading more into it than is there, here's the Ewwww factor, why, are you watching the person you love have sex with the person you hate? Kinda creepy to me...

I'm sure I would be greatly devastated by the second scenario and feel horribly betrayed and have my self esteem crushed... but I can't help but think the first one would be worse.
Probably because sex is rather abhorrent (perhaps too strong a word) to me when it comes to myself doing it, for whatever reason, so I wouldn't really want to have sex with anyone, let alone someone I hated. Therefore my mind makes the bridge of 'sex with hated person' -> 'raped by hated person'. And yeah... I think being raped would effect me worse than having my loved one have sex with someone I hated.

Well I'd say the latter is worse. Because it's always better to have sex than to watch it!
Plus, if it's someone I hate, then I can feel totally guilt-free in dominating and humiliating them.

I think I can predict the answers:
People who choose one:
The person who they hate is a member of their same sex.
The person who they hate is extremely ugly!
People who choose two:
The person who they love is something they would never give up.
The person who they hate is a hot-looking member of the opposite sex (which is my reason! :)).
The person who they hate they would enjoy sexually tortureing the person they hate more than they love their lover.
The poll-taker always enjoys sex no matter what.
Second option is worse.
First option just meant that I'd be raped. I can cope with that.
Second option, well, I can almost not bear this one. :(

ALso, what would you do in either of those situations? I know I'd be very angry in the second and probably vengeful to both people.

The first one, because the person I hate most is a dude, and I'm not gay.
Satan would not use the second option as torture..In one of my stories, I invented a character who used psychological instead of physical torture. That would be one example. Another example would be the threat of having your loved ones killed if you disobeyed his orders. As you can guess, he would be very effective among NSers.
