PC. More variety of controls, better connectivity, better resolutions, etc. Not without its problems and it all comes with a price, but I think that in the long run is much better than any console. Plus, you can still play the original Tetris or install an emulator.

Gamecube. I don't have an Xbox, my PC is not for gaming, and I have to pray that my PS2 doesn't quit on me whenever I play a game on it. My Gamecube is reliable, plus most of my favorite games are on it(except the unedited version of OOT).

my pc, then my mega-drive, then the snes.

I do like the gamecube, xbox and ps2 (well, I don't like the ps2 that much), but they just don't have the amount of great games that those three consoles have. Shining Force 2 > all.

Although....

supersmash bros melee > all EXCEPT Shining Force 2.

PS/2 hands down is my favorite gaming console.

I've played one or two good games on it... but it's my least favourite console aside from the original playstation.

Is there anything you can recommend that'd make me revise my view? I can't remember the last time I turned on the ps2.

My favorite ever would be the N64 or PS1, most likely. What can I say? The first truly 3D consoles made an impression on me. Plus, I loved "The Misadventures of Tronne Bonne" (sp?)

For single-player and online gaming, the PC by far and wide.

For playing with friends? Any of the consoles. I loved Street Fighter II on the SNES and Street Fighter II: Champion Edition on the Genesis.

Super Nintendo is also good. Afterall, it did have the first modern console 3-d game(textured polygons, shadows, etc.), Starfox. Before it, most, if not all 3-d console games were wire-frame.

P.C. Easier to upgrade, you can open it up without damaging the warranty, most older systems can be emulated, games are brilliant and it's easier to make your own games.

X-box is 2nd. Purely because you can install Linux on Microsofts' baby. Ha ha ha.

Yeah but thats only Halo: Combat Evolved

Bungie and Macrosoft officially said that after some French idiot went ahead and released a copy version of Halo 2 for PC before it was released that they weren't going to make any future Halo games for the PC.

For me, what it comes down to is that the PS/2 has the most games I enjoy playing on it. I only bought a Gamecube to play Legend of Zelda.

Other than that, have maybe two more games for it compared to the 25+ I have for my PS/2 that I play on a regular basis during the year. It all comes down to the game library, and PS/2 by far, has the widest range of games to play on its console.

If Xbox had more games, I might invest, but I won't waste my time to buy a system for just one or two games. (I bought the Gamecube, which is contrary to this statement, because it's a family tradition playing Zelda.)

That's a good family tradition. A very good one :D

I suppose if you don't think any games for the consoles are "that" special, then you may as well invest in the one that at least puts out a lot that you like, as opposed to one that puts out a few that you like equally. But Supersmash bros is the game I've played the longest out of any except, and probably including, Rome Total War. So it's more worth me having a gamecube or xbox, as I just don't really think ps2 games are all that special, despite how many there are.

Well, Killswitch is good, but too short, and not that great.

Two things: PS2 and Gamecube suck
PS2's graphics aren't great and Gamecube is great if you want to play Teletubbies all day.
I would have to say the PC is the best, followed by Xbox, cause Microsoft rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it depends. My mother passed away while in the middle of the very first game for NES. My sister and I beat it together after she passed, sort of in memory, because she really loved the game. Then, it sort of become our way to pay tribute to her memory. I've beaten every single Zelda game on the market, as has my sister, so, buying the Gamecube just had to be done.

I suppose if you don't think any games for the consoles are "that" special, then you may as well invest in the one that at least puts out a lot that you like, as opposed to one that puts out a few that you like equally.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I know a lot of people go by namebrand or what-not, but for me, it comes down to the economics. I can't afford to buy every single system just to play one or two games. I'd rather just deal with the PS/2 and play what I like.

I don't really get the storyline of Zelda, its confusing  :(

If you're really interested in learning about the storyline, this (http://www.zeldalegends.net/index.php?n=storylines) web site is one of the best sources of information on the games on the web.

A PC is only good if you can afford a gaming performance machine; otherwise, chances are you won't be able to utilize the full effect of the PC on performance of a game.

Right next to my Dreamcast, I have a Gamecube, on which I play all the Resident Evil games (including 4), Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, 007: Everything or Nothing and XIII (among others).

You can take your Teletubby fetish and eat it. :upyours:

No doubt, only one thing though, Gamecube does have Resident Evil 4, which does bring its rating up a bit.

Not to nitpick, but it wasn't actually Halo 2 for PC, it was an incomplete French version of Halo 2 for Xbox.

Arrgh! At least the first explination made some sense. This doesn't show why they'd stop the P.C version.

Gates, if you're listening, release Halo 2 for the P.C right now or I'll buy an X-box second hand (that way you don't get any money) and install Linux on it!

Weak threats are my speciality.
