Which is your favorite Tekken?

And more importantly (to someone who may have taken a martial art for some period of time), which charachters do you think have the most believable style?

Me, I like Tekken 5, for graphics, and a lot of the stuff they added into it over Tag (I never had 4).

As for most believable fighting style... er. Either Jin Kazama or Bruce. I've seen Muay Thai in action, and Bruce is very close (if a bit exagerated) to the art.

What about you people?

(Note, I didn't see anywhere else to put something about this, so 's why it's here.)

I've never been a fan of Tekken. The characters just move too slowly for me.

Virtua Fighter 4, on the other hand, now that's a game!

Brian Fury. Simple as that.

However, I'm a much bigger fan of Soul Calibur. The faster pace and better combat system makes it that much more fun.

Yeah I know, it's just soo unbeileavibly slow.
I don't like Virtua Fighter either.

But soul calibur 2 (on the cube)...now THAT'S a game. ;)

lol. SC2 is a nice game. on the cube, my friends favorite thing to do is Spawn versus Link XD

Anyways, Brian is good, though if you were looking for just purely painful moves, I'd have to say Nina...

I loved Tekken 2. I kept playing it until long after 4 was released, just because... I dunno, it was just great in its simplicity. My fave was probably Paul Phoenix.

...There's a Tekken 5???

Tekken 3. I kicked all comers' asses with, what's his name... the Korean one... Hwoarang, that's it. :p

I didn't get into the series until Tekken 4, but now with 5 having been released, I play just about every day.

I personally like a lot of characters...I don't specialize because the way my friends and I prefer to play is 8 on 8 team battles with full random character selection.

You have to be at least somewhat good with everybody.

My fave's though, from Tekken 5, would be...

1. Steve - I pwn with him...nobody I know can come close to beating me when I use him. I almost never use him, cause it's just not fair.
2. Law - I'm not very good with him, but he's SO much fun to play as.
3. Brian - Pure evil! In my opinion, probably the most balanced character, both in terms of punches/kicks and speed/power.
4. Xiaoyu (sp?) - She's tough to learn, but her moves link together so well when you get them down.
5. King - He's kind of cheap, but he's unpredictable, and you can't argue with those throws! :D
6. Bruce - I really haven't gotten the hang of him yet, but I love his speed, and his fighting style.
7. Raven - I love using him, since his style is random, like Lei's or Christie's, and it throws people off of their game.
8. Christie - How can you not like that fighting style? It's challenging to find new ways to link up old moves.
9. Jack-5 - What can I say...he might be slow as molasses, but those moves are so punishing. Fun to play.
10. (TIE) Hwoarang / Lee - Both primarily kicking characters...I'm better with Hwoarang, but I have more fun playing as Lee.

LEAST favorite - Paul - He has around 4 or 5 decent moves, all of which are horribly overpowered, and has no decent combos. He's probably the cheapest character in the game.

Is anyone else really pissed that they removed Tekken Force (which rocked in 4), and replaced it in 5 with The Devil Within?? (which sucks ass)

Tekken was all right, but SC2 rocked no matter what system you play it on. As for the believable-ness for the moves, I am a blue belt in Ai-Ki-Do, but nobody on Tekken really has that kind of style.
