Basically, I'm creating this thread to talk about the new consoles coming out. Not really debating them, just so people can post, and discuss, new information thats coming out about them.

That said, I suggest you all read this link. Its saying the Xbox should be around 300 dollars when released, maybe up to 350 or 360 usd. This, as opposed to the rumored $465 price of the PS3...

Eugh.. I'm feeling nauseous... Feels like three weeks since I bought the X-box... :(

I dunno if my brother will be able to persuade Mom and Dad to spend that much $$$ on a video game console (PS3). Hopefully, that would include at least 1 game, right?

I expect them to bee around the same price...and the Nintendo to be less expensive...as usual.

I can only imagine the horrible weapon they will use to ruin the next Halo on XBox360.. Just think, the invisibility took some fun out of the first Halo, and the energy sword all but ruined the second Halo, what next, a boxing glove the kills everyone?

Hmmm, I wonder if M$ is going to underwrite the cost of this machine too?

Personally, I think I'm going to do what appears to be the smart thing in the current age of video game console purchasing. Play the waiting game. Seriously, shortly after the Xbox was introduced the PS2 pricing went down because they didn't have all the new technology the Xbox had. A year after it's release, the Xbox would price would dip as well. Look at what they are both at what, $150.00? So I think I'll wait a while after their release.

I never had a problem with invisibility in H/H2, except for some people that seem to be using it all the time, I can agree with the energy sword, I think its too powerful, itd be better if it ran out of energy like in campaign mode.

Swords only games are fun though, but thats about it.

Eh, I'm not much of a console gamer myself, so it doesn't really concern me. However, it is interesting to note how volatile gaming message boards are becoming.

People, prepare for the revolution :-p Nintendo's entire catalog of games(well, this isnt 100% guaranteed, but many many games will be available) for download = auto buy. Plus, nintendo hasn't shown all of its cards yet...

its funny for us PC gamers reading these threads. because you guys are like OMG $350 for the new console thats ridiculous. but a decent gaming PC is rare below $1000 (unless you just make one yourself :) )

I can't decide between the Xbox 360 or the PS3.

On one hand, the 360 will have a great internet...capability...stuff....and all that junk. Plus some great games:
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
Call of Duty 2
Fable 2
Scarface: The World is Yours
Secret Service?
ShadowClan
Splinter Cell 4
Saint's Row
The Godfather
The Outfit
And plus it can connect to Windows XP, any iPod, and any PSP.


On the other hand, I'm loyal to Sony. The crappy PS3 controller can be bypassed with my PSP unit. But the only good games I've discovered for this console are:
Metal Gear Solid 4
Scarface: The World is Yours
Secret Service
ShadowClan
Killzone 2
Devil May Cry 4


And almost half of those will be found on the 360 too.

No. $360 is the price of the console + 1 new gen game. :(



And yes, the theme for the X-Box 360 is "circles". I'll try to ignore the gay subtext there. Good aliens above, it's kinda like the Nin. DS-"Touching is good."

Ill definitely be getting the Xbox 360, definitely not at launch, but after a price drop. Or when Halo 3 is released, whichever comes first.
