What Political Party are you?

hmm?

Current major parties
Democratic Party, founded circa 1828
Republican Party, founded 1854

Current third parties
Each of these three (along with the Democratic and Republican) parties had ballot status for its presidential candidate in states with enough electoral votes to have had a theoretical chance of winning the 2004 presidential election. The Democratic, Libertarian, and Republican parties have already met this threshold for the 2008 election. The Constitution and Green parties are the only other parties that appear to have a reasonable chance of doing so.

Constitution Party
Green Party
Libertarian Party

Current minor and regional parties that have endorsed candidates
These parties do not have ballot status for their presidential candidate in enough states to have a theoretical chance to win. Some do not have presidential candidates at all, but do have candidates for other offices.

I'm a softcore libertarian, and voted for the Libertarian Party this past election. I am more for personal freedoms than corporate freedoms, however.

I tend to align with the Socialist Labor Party as far as the U.S. is concerned. I voted for Kerry (Dem.) because anything that has a chance against Bush has my vote, and Feingold (Dem. - Wi) because he voted against the Patriot Act - which strangely enough is highly unpatriotic.

Anyway, I tend to call myself a Democratic Socialist, in the sense that I most closely relate to the Dem. Socialist Party in Germany - or so I've been told. Plus, I like the name; its catchy and it makes people think - or yell at me for being a liberal commie bastard, which I enjoy.

I'm a Democrat, although I'm very much to the left of the party. I voted Green in the last mayoral election and would do so again in a heartbeat.

Republican. You know the majority.

Used to be a Democrat, but I had to learn how to get up before 1:00pm and quit smoking weed when my welfare was cut off by that prick Clinton.

This thread should have a public poll of at least
the main political partys in the 2004 elections.
The Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, Constitution and
green parties.

Libertarian of course, the Party of Principle
So, assuming you're accurate (which I don't grant at this point), would you rather have principle or power? Cuz you don't have power right now, you know.

Spartacist League (http://www.icl-fi.org/)! Although actually I quit the party a few years ago, their politics are the best.
