Canadians Love Kraft (Dinner, anyway).

I had some white-cheddar Kraft Dinner spiced with dried chilies and scotch-bonnet pepper sauce just the other day.

Mmm, mmm, mmm.

Any other Canadians love Kraft Dinner?

C'mon...I know you're out there...

I'm British, and like their pasta

But they don't sell much other stuff here.

Do I get to count?

Parody threads are so passé.

Anyway, we don't get Kraft foods here, as far as I know. Maybe they own some subsidiary and sell the food under a different name, who knows...

I have nothing against Canadian people but Kraft dinner is disgusting and unwholesome. Love the Canadian, hate the Kraft.

I used to like Kraft cheese products more before I looked and saw they didn't actually have cheese as an ingredient.

Kraft is OK, but there are other brands that are less expensive. Home made is absolutely the best though.

It's just not Mac and Cheese unless it's baked Mac and Cheese cassarole. Kraft is an abomination.

An abomination that takes like ten minutes to make. On it's own, it's not-so-good, nah, better make that 'pretty awful' instead, but with the right seasonings, it can be made fairly palatable.

And yeah, the prices on the KD are stiff compared to the generic stuff, but it's not like I buy it by the gross, or anything. It's just a place-holder for actual sustenance.

When I finish making the KD as per directed on the box, I add garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and stir. Then, I grate up some cheese, put it on top and toss it in the oven at 350 till the cheese melts, bring it out and stir it up again. FEAST!

Ick, I can't stand Kraft Dinner! But its still as Canadian as it can get (sadly). What makes me wanna vomit is seeing my brother eat a full box on his own with nothing added in.
Remember back in the day when your parents would slice up hotdogs and put them in with the KD? *hurl*

Damn right. I like mozzarella, provolone, and white cheddar in mine. Good stuff.

Ah, KD, the second major food group for (male) Canadian college and university students. The first one being BEER. Personally, I add lots of fresh ground pepper and bolster the "cheese" mix with some real cheese and pour ketchup all over it. Its ersatz food, really, but then again I only eat it once in blue moon when I'm too busy to be bothered with making real food. I can make it on the hotplate I have in my workshop/sculpture studio. I usually use the hotplate for melting wax or concocting rabbit skin glue, but since KD is only a few steps removed from either substance, its not such a gross thing to do.

I usually enjoy it when I do have it, but thats because I only make it when I'm really starving and being a Hypglycemic, my hunger can make cardboard a tasty treat.

On the whole, I'd rather have Poutine if I'm in the mood for Canadian cuisine. Served with beer, of course.

Remember back in the day when you'd hear those really awful-sounding Kraft recipes 'that your whole family will love' during commercial breaks on CBC? They usually involved 'Kraft Velveeta Cheese', marshmallows and graham crackers (add tomato wedges for colour!).

Yeah. Good times. Those, and the inevitable 'Hinterland Who's Who' segments that were shown over and over and over again...

'A terrestrial day-active creature, the Woodchuck hibernates in the late Fall...'

Heh.

What's Poutine?

What's Poutine?

It's a Quebecois thing...but it's gotta be done right, or it's just not poutine. Take cooked, hand-cut fries (not battered, spiced, curled, or crinkle-cut), add a sprinkling of uncoloured Oka cheese curds (failing that, Cheddar cheese curds will suffice), top with extraordinarily hot, thin, bland 'gravy' - quotations 'cause you want to use the fake stuff, preferably - somehow real bona fide gravy of any description just doesn't cut it, and garnish to your preferred taste with black pepper.

It's a coronary to go!

The best Mac & Cheese-- Cook cut mac from the bag, then heat an entire jar of cheese wiz in the microwave till it's totally melted and hot, hot, hot. Man that's good. You just have to eat it really fast before the cheese wiz starts to harden up again. I swear, it's good.
