Seeing that our dear friend Teutonia is having a presentation of Fascist websites, I thought I would post some liberal* ones. This thread is not only for liberal websites but for all other ideologies. Call it a convention.

*liberal as in classical liberal, economically liberal, and the like.

www.cato.org

www.mises.org (be careful when reading this one)

www.adamsmith.org

and of course the LP, www.lp.org

Post yours and receive a free hat.

You're right about being careful about this site. The analysis of the New Deal, was, well, horribly innacurate and unwarranted.

Anyway, I want that hat, so I'm posting my favorite website to mock!

Well here's (http://www.michellemalkin.com/) my favorite one to mock. Coulter's a bit too dense for me. It's like how chocolate is nice, but pure unsweetend cocoa is disgusting. Michelle Malkin on the other hand... She tells you right in her name "servant of Satan."

Um, Anne Coulter is NOT a classic liberal. All she knows how to do is bitch at people.

As he said in his posts, he's not talking about modern US liberals, he's talking about classic liberals, and that's basically the same as libertarians.
At least I think that's what he said.

Personal freedom. In other words, do with yourself what you wanna do.

Not all the present day Democrat liberal "Smoking must be banned", let's not let children get video games, tax everyone to help the poor.

Not Republican "God loves only us", ban gays from marriage, go to jail for flag-burning people.

Real freedom is real liberalism.

The modern liberal does not stand up for freedom, they stand up for safety and equality.

They play the mother role, treating all of the children equally with love, but if they stray away or get in any trouble, they call them back in.

Right, that's why he said he isn't talking about modern liberals.

You may also post other websites, but I did this to partially counter the Fascist Websites thread. I am indeed talking about classical liberals, not the modern American ones.

No one's mentioned perhaps the best source of international news, which also happens to be slanted towards libertarian ideals: The Economist.

Good. That's what I thought, and is why I said Lew Rockwell was a good choice.

The one I bolded has become a bipartisan action, so don't go laying that just on the Democrats. There are plenty of Bible-thumping Republicans who want to control what you see and hear far more than there are Democrats.

He is not talking about American liberalism, he is talking about CLASSICAL LIBERALISM. Which is a far cry from what the monstrosity of today is.

Thank you. Yes, that's what I'm talking about.

People seem to be confusing liberalism and populism. Modern liberalism is a mixture of cultural liberalism, and fiscal populism.

Classic liberalism is in no way populist in ANY way. It's the opposite.
