I witnessed a Miracle!!!

I had Lasik eye surgery on Wed. and could see without my glasses for the first time since the first grade. I am 55 so that was a very long time ago. Does this mean that Christ has returned? The blind shall see. Or, is there some deeper meaning to the quote?

well unless Jesus was performing the laser eye surgery, which i doubt, i would say its down to good ol' medical science, and not a miracle  ;)

the blind seeing is not a marker of the second coming.

i had lasik in '99. its quite something to be able to see without glasses any more.

Besides, I'm pretty sure that quote was referring to those who were "blind" to the beliefs of Christ.

Or, blind to the spiritual reality of who Christ is!

The quote is probably analogous to ignorance and knowledge.

Yes, I would agree with you on that. It seems if you want to look at the quote in a strictly material way. It speaks only to the blind regaining their sight. But there must be other layers of meaning. "I was blind to what was going on around me." I think the quote has a more powerful meaning if it is applied to spiritual insight and not physical sight.

No, I probably won't do it like that. But I would have some polite fun with the end is near guys.
