Just curious but there's been a few of them occurring all at once and I'm wondering what brought on all the gun threads.

I was bored. It started a trend. One of them came back from the archives when someone posted to it. It was better than flaming individuals for Posing.
A variety of factors.

espically assualt rifles and shotguns

I'm pro-regulation, but at the same time have a fascination with weapons (That could just be the Y-Chromosome talking :P). Thus, maybe a job with the ATF would be right up my alley.
