How I hate google! It's useless for finding what you're actually looking for! So I'll just ask you guys:

Has anyone seen the movie "The Outsiders" recently? I saw it in Oklahoma History this week. I loved the song "Stay Gold" by Stevie wonder. I loved it so much that I decided to try and download an mp3 of it off the internet. So I go to google and find that all google gives you is either the Lyrics or some song by a group named the Up *something* Kids.

And ya know what, I'd also like to find the theme song to Jean de Florette.

Does anyone know where I might find what I'm looking for? I'd be eternaly grateful.

Performer: Bill Hughs
Composer: Carmine Coppola / Stevie Wonder
Album: The Outsiders (original soundtrack)
Label: Silva Screen
Released: 1978
Other recordings of this song: none
Other appearances of this artist: none

Good luck.

As a side note, " Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" is perhaps the worst title you can give a thread. Nothing like a meaningless context and a row of exclamation marks to make people want to skip over it as spam.

What would you propose then? It sounded good to me. And thank you for the link.

How about "Need help tracking down an obscure MP3"?

I hate titles that don't tell you squat about the contents. For all I knew, you had fallen in a manhole or set fire to your monitor. Be a little informative next time.

you can also try http://www.espew.com/ which is an mp3 search engine. Or, use altavista's mp3 search function.

Ok, sorry about the title all. I'll try these search engines, but are they better than google?

If you want an mp3 then yes, if you want other information then no.

Google isnt designed as an mp3 search engine so it brings up a lot of irrelevant sites, but if you want lyrics then you will have no luck with an mp3 search engine.

Ok, next problem. I've tried just typing in "Jean de Florette" and "Stay Gold". But neither produced what I'm looking for. Any ideas as to what I shoud put into the search box?

Google is not a specialized search engine. It will come up with the sites that mention those songs; and I wouldn't trust those sites. Most of them will try to push something on you or install a piece of spyware.

Try a file-sharing application.

Stevie Wonder's version of "Stay Gold" also appeared on his albums "Natural" and "Song Review: A Greatest Hits Collection". I'm not into the whole mp3 thing, so I don't know if this will help you or not.

Sorry, but that wont work. The only thing I could download would be a thirty second clip (which I am listening to over and over again). Thank you anyway though.
