Asian nations like China and India just can't get their population growth under control. Would you support Euthanasia for the youth in asia? Wouldn't it help the entire world in the long term by reducing the demand for resources and the expense that accompanies the competition for said resources?

Sorry. It was inspired by something that happened in grade school. I went to a Catholic school. One day the nun said something about seeing a filmstrip about Euthanasia. I wondered why we'd need to see a movie about Chinese kids. They also showed us a filmstrip on lepers. I was psyched to see a nature film, then I ended up seeing something about a dude caring for sick folks who were missing limbs and digits.

1. western countries (so called first world) use MORE resources than india/china (so called third world) per capita.

2. in absolute terms, US consumes more resources than any other country in the world.

3. population growth rate is REDUCING in these countries. China's population has stabilised due to their draconian one-child policy. India being a democracy could not resort to such things and is going the slower method of raising the quality of life which would make people have lesser kids.

infact, in many of the rich and developed (comparitively) states of india , like the southern states and North western states, population has already stabilised.

bottom line: you mind ur business, while the indians and chinese mind their business and how to manage their country and their population.

They are the second largest consumer of oil and will knock off the US in so many years.

They are also leaning on other countries for resources. I think it was on the radio that Argentina was complaining that they don't wont to be known as the Soya farm for China.

China is moving up on absolute numbers, but still they are not close in per capita basis.

Americans are unbeatable on per capita basis.

indians and chinese are in general very thrifty in nature.
