That son of a bitch Zarqawi has suffered a mortal wound causing terrorists to ask people to pray for his recovery.
But the request was met with scorn all over Iraq. Most Iraqis said they wanted to see him dead cause of the thousands of Iraqi civilians he was responsible for killing.
Zarqawi was seriously wounded in combat against US troops who were liberating western Iraq from Al Qaeda control.
As of latest report an aid has been named as Zarqawi's replacement meaning that the second most evil sob of our time is very close to death. (bullets that go into the lungs are usually fatal).

The intell community is mounting a huge effort to verify the claims. If they are true the death of Zarqawi will spill the end of the insurgency in Iraq and deal a near fatal blow to Al Qaeda supporters world wide.

hes right though. Whittier, he hasnt been 'mortally wounded' all we kno is that he was injured and is now probably in a private hospital, most likely in saudi arabia being paid for by one of the princes.

I've got a much bigger streak of vindictivness. I'll pray that my sins are forgiven and that Zarqawi gets the justice he deserves.

Well, all the reports have Zarqawi fleeing to a "Neighboring Country".

Someone mentioned Saudi Arabia...but honestly, what do people think? It was Western Iraq where this occured, so, while Iran is pretty much out...it could in theory be either Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria or even Turkey.

I think if they catch Zarqawi, they should make him listen to Billy Ray Cyrus. A few hours of 'Achy Breaky Heart' and Zarqawi would promise anything. He'd probably even agree to be painted in the Stars and Stripes and run naked through the streets of Damascus singing 'Yankee Doodle Dandy'.


But I digress. Zarqawi dying would probably only slow the insurgency for a while, but it won't stop it. He'd be viewed as a 'great matyr'. Best thing they can do is hunt him down and capture him. Then they might be able to get enough info to do real lasting damage to the insurgents.

Good news though. Can't argue with that.

How cool would it be if we could track him down and imprison him. I'd love to see that SOB get a few million years behind bars for all that he's done. Depending on where he's extridited to, he might get about 20 death sentances, to be served concurrently.

While Whittier- may have gone overboard with his descriptions and hopes and made use of an incredibly strange style, I am wishing as much ill-will upon Zarqawi as possible as well. Now admittedly, I'd love to see him arrested, hauled off to court, tried and rot in an Iraqi jail cell for the rest of a long, long, long life, but, if he dies, it's no skin off my back.

There's a big difference. Whittier hasn't ordered suicide hijackers to crash planes into buildings full of civilians.

Zarqawi is a combatant. If we can't celebrate the imminent death of combatants who command suicide bombers to target civilians and insurgents to kill our fighting men then what the hell can we do?

Here's hoping for gangrene or sepsis, whatever works. He can jihad in hell, all he likes. :)

Well. THAT was a little militaristic. I don't like Zarquawi, but with that attitude, is it any wonder why people sign up for AL Qaeda?
