iBooks are GREAT LAPTOPS! But if you HAVE THE MONEY go for a Power book!
I love how macs are so awsome.

I bought a Powerbook because I edit film and do media design for the live stage. But I think nowadays the iBooks are about as powerful as my Powerbook...stupid curve...
Depends on what you need. I really like the bulletproofness of this computer. It has been highly abused and more or less shrugs it off. Plus, I can bump around in it's system without fear of irrevocably screwing something up in a way I can't fix, not something I could say when I was using PCs (where I had to make the rule that "No computer geeks can touch this computer, because you stupid freeks go in and 'customize' shit so I can't fucking use it anymore without lighting candles and sacraficing a chicken")

Wrong conclusion. Powerbook is the right choice.
(yeah right, never even used one...I'm the expert...but quite many of my nerdy friends want to get one. I trust them)
I have a PowerBook G4 and it's doing a lot better than my old iBook G3. But then I don't have one of the new iBooks. This laptop comes with a lot of memory, a huge hard drive, a built-in AirPort Extreme card for connecting wirelessly to the internet, and a lot of other things—but not Microsoft Office, unfortunately. You'd have to do research to find out more, but I like the PowerBook and would recommend it if you have enough money to buy it.

I just went to an iBook G4 and love it, but CToaN is absolutely correct--it all depends on what you're doing with it. If you're editing film or music, go with the Powerbook. I'm a writer who spends a lot of time online, so I don't need the raw computing power, and the iBook is more than enough computer for me.
