What songs best symbolises you?

To that, I mean, "which songs describes you or your life best?" I, myself have two:
"I Don't Like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats.
"The Wrong Child", by R.E.M.

The first one symbolises me because I hate Monday, and sometimes I want to go on a killing spree in my school. Not much of the time, mind. Just when I'm annoyed.

The second one symbolises me because the lyrics describe a child who rarely goes out, doesn't know much about having a social life, has few friends, wants to be accepted by his peers, and doesn't know what to do. The child knows that he/she shouldn't live like this, but accepts it. Pretty much like myself.

"The Drowse" by Queen.

"It's the sad eyed goodbye Yesterday's moments I remember
It's the bleak street, week kneed partings I recall
It's the mistier mists the hazier days
The brighter sun and the easier lays
There's all the more reason for laughing and crying
When you're younger and life isn't to hard at all

It's the fantastic drowse, of the afternoon Sundays
That bored you to rages of tears, the unending pleadings
To waste all your good times, In thoughts of your middle-aged years
It's the vertical hold all the things that you're told
For the everyday hero it all turns to zero, and there's all the more reason
For living or dying when you're young, and your troubles are all very small

Out here on the street we'd gather and meet, and scuff up the sidewalk
With endlessly restless feet, half on the time we'd broaden our minds
More in the pool hall, than we did in the school hall

With the down town chewing gum bums
watching the night life the lights and the fun
Never wanted to be the boy next door, always thought I'd be something more
But it ain't easy for a small town boy, It ain't easy at all
Thinking it right and doing it wrong, It's easier from an arm chair
Waves of alternatives wash over my sleepiness
Have my eggs poached for breakfast I guess
I think I'll be Clint Eastwood, Jimi Hendrix he was good
Let's try William the Conqueror, now who else do I like?"

It's just me. How do you explain stuff like that. I mean, when someone says "Tonight Tonight" by Smashing Pumpkins symbolizes them, how'd they explain that? How is my song any different than people saying their songs represent them?

Hm, tough question... I guess "Anywhere Is" by Enya. that's kind of how I feel about life right now.... everything is soooo confusing... and I'm just trying to keep on doing whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing. Things happen, good and bad, but you just gotta keep on keepin on.

Good point. I suppose the obscurity of the lyrics confused.

By the way, you seem a bit pissed off, sorry if I angered you.

Nah, didn't anger me. Just confused me. I guess it's because the song is like how I think. I'm always sleepy, and I feel that if the world basically were to blow up around me, I'd find a mountain somewhere, sit up top, and watch the light show before I got killed.

The song which may describe me, its debatable is Iris, by the Goo Goo Dolls because I stay out of the public eye as much as possible, and most people find me an enigma, I have been told personally by serval people that they do not understand me.

The question is, is there something about the song that relates to you or your life, or do you just like that song?

As for me, "I'm Only Sleeping" by the Beatles. I said it before and I'm sticking to it.

"When I wake up early in the morning
Lift my head, I'm still yawning
When I'm in the middle of a dream
Stay in bed, float up stream (Float up stream)

Please, don't wake me, no, don't shake me
Leave me where I am, I'm only sleeping

Everybody seems to think I'm lazy
I don't mind, I think they're crazy
Running everywhere at such a speed
Till they find there's no need (There's no need)

Please, don't spoil my day, I'm miles away
And after all I'm only sleeping

Keeping an eye on the world going by my window
Taking my time

Lying there and staring at the ceiling
Waiting for a sleepy feeling...

Please, don't spoil my day, I'm miles away
And after all I'm only sleeping

Ooh yeah

Keeping an eye on the world going by my window
Taking my time

When I wake up early in the morning
Lift my head, I'm still yawning
When I'm in the middle of a dream
Stay in bed, float up stream (Float up stream)

Please, don't wake me, no, don't shake me
Leave me where I am, I'm only sleeping"
