Don't you just hate them?
I woke up twice this night because some alarm went of somewhere. People here in Dublin are just mental about alarm systems, both for cars and for houses. And these things go off all the time, day and night... I think they are just bored and crave the attention or something. What I hate about them is, they are completely totaly pointless.
Nobody cares if one goes off, because they do so all the time anyway. When you hear one, you just curse and turn around. NOBODY bothers about them any more.
And if there really was a burglar in your house, you would just have to deal with him AND your angry neighbours...
Someties I feel like breaking in to my neighbours houses, just to steal the batteries from those f***ing alarms...
Well, I havent heard a car alarm for some years now.
Maybe they are quite good nowadays.
Though where I live peolpe are not that easily scared.
The things that are most easily stolen are bikes here, and you really cant protect them with an alarm system.

Damn... I would have to move to the US in order to file that suit. There's no way any court in Europe will ever accept that claim...

Either people turn them off, or have a silent alarm, or don't have an alarm.
I can't remember the last time I heard one now.

i hate some car advertisements...
especially the ones that show city SUV owners driving around in the woods or whatever...

I can't remember the last time I heard one now.I used to live in a place where car alarms went off every 20 minutes at night. Apparently there was a lot of theft over there.

You dont hear them around here ever. No one breaks into or steals cars here.
In my experience, the car alarm was'nt very effective.
You want something effective in that area? Just wedge an ice pick-business end up-under the driver's seat. Just dont forget about it. If someone tries to steal your car with that, its likely they'll still be in the seat when you show up.
