Endorphins are good!

I've being having a real big buzz tonight from an endorphin rush I got from the gym. The reason being is that I finally leg-pressed 1100lbs. Yay! That's 1/2 a tonne (500kg). And before any smartarse points out that 500kgs=1102lb, the press machine weighs a few pounds which I haven't included. It was 1100lb of plates on the press.
Anyway, I feel great even though I majorly pulled a muscle in my glute because of it and will most likely be unable to walk tomorrow. But I don't care. It's the most I've ever done, so I'm happy.
The Guylian chocolates I ate afterwards probably aided the endorphin rush. It's better than any drug.
So anyone else done anything lately they feel really good about?
Let's have a nice positive thread!

I had an interview for a new job, and now I start training on June 4th. Does that count? After the interview I help my sister move, so I felt good about helping her out, too.

Just remember, I knew a guy who blew a hernia when he was doing a massive squat (one of those loads that bends the bar).
He went down, gave a funny sigh, and fell over on his back.
He put about two feet of intestine into his scrotum, which instantly bulged out of his shorts and looked like a large grapefruit.
They took him to the hospital like that - unable to straighten out his legs because the pain was so bad.

Anything that makes you feel good counts!
Hmmm...Unless you're a sadist of course. Let's have a truly positive thread.

Sheesh. Two replies and one of them negative. That's so sad. :(

Sorry. I used to lift weights, but I gained so much weight I had to switch to a completely different type of workout.
Now I don't lift weights. I've gone all aerobic - my base workout is to run several miles with a pack on my back.
I'm also 44, and I'm afraid of hernia and pulled ligaments (haven't had either happen, but I'm not eager to find out).

Oh... a POSITIVE thread. I've been actually moving after almost 2 weeks of a nightmare virus. Does that count? It's sort of like Ebola I think.... :p Hopefully I didn't pass it on to the entire full theater at the last Star Wars this weekend.

Deleted the one I think you implied was "negative". Everything is relative :D

No, an ant. They lift many times their bodyweight.

He lifted 500 kilograms. That about 5000 times a hamster's weight. Although I must admit I've never weighed the Demented Hamster, he can't be too heavy because I've never seen him plunge through the floor on his way towards the Earth's core. (But maybe he only does that when no one's looking?)

You should try rowing or canoing or dragonboating. Dragonboating though is a bit more anearobic as the races are only 500m. But the training does get you very fit. The fittest guy in the team is in his forties.
I've got training tomorrow and I hope we're not standing. Because I don't think I'll be able to.

I swim a kilometer on the weekends. I run-pack 60 pounds for five miles every day except Saturday (swim day) and Sunday (rest).
Every once in a while I'll go 10 to 12 miles with the pack. Just to see if I can still do it.
I like being able to run and carry - when I was younger I liked to be able to lift.

Yep, I had relations with a 20 year old. Then the next day, I nailed her 42 yr old mom. This was last week. I wonder if they talked to each other about me? :)

Fair enough. Each to his own. I can't stand running. Never liked it. Cycling I enjoy, as well as walking and hiking. And of course canoing/rowing etc.
But running.
Yeech.
I'd rather row 20km than run 2.

On my 53rd b/day, I was trying to reach 1,000 lbs by starting at 800 and working upward in increments in sets of ten. I got to 986 lbs, put 2 more lbs on the machine ... and couldn't budge it! heh!
Kudos to you for setting a new personal best for yourself! Yayyy! :D

If I run without the pack, I have to run over 10 miles before I get the endorphin rush.
With 60 pounds on my back, I get it at about the 3 mile mark, and I run 5 so I can enjoy it.
There's also nothing like getting back from the early morning run, high on endorphins, and making love to my wife. Double rush.
I passed my final oral exam in English at school.
I just talked all the time and could not stop:
14 Points (of 15).

I think it is as well good to wear a pullover and not only a t-shirt while you run... sweating is cool.

It's never good to smoke meth before an oral exam.

Silly, if all you wanted was the endorphins you could have just had an orgasm.
