My favourite is One Hot Minute. It's their most consistent album; every song is great. Dave Navarro is much more funky and inventive than John Frusciante.

Mother's Milk and Blood, Sugar... are the only decent albums. I bought californication when it came out and I've listened to it maybe 5 times since.

although Mothers Milk has some really interesting lyrics.
Blood Sugar Sex Magik is classic. It is the reason I started listening to them.

Personally, I find their brand of "funk rock" to be neither rock, nor funky...
Mind you, I do have a ridiculous taste in music, ranging from a love for Breakbeat Drum and Bass, to german hip-hop, through to swedish metal, and all-sorts...
You can pick out a good song from most bands... in my opinion, the chilli's stuff is all very samey...

I'd have to say that no one album that is 100% songs I like. I guess I'll pick By the Way, because there only about 2 or 3 songs I always skip on it. All of them are really good though.

I don't really know what my favourite songs are. They're definitely a band I have to be in the mood for, or it's a wasted effort. To be honest, whilst I have heard most of their songs, I don't really know what album they go in, so I couldn't say what album I like the most. I just like a general mix of their stuff.

My two cents
Flea is wasting his time with the Chilli peppers. He's the only talented member of that mess. He should have joined the Buthole Surfers.
Mother's Milk is my favorite, out of all the albums, i think Flea has the coolest basslines on this album. plus the hendrix cover is kick ass.

ouch sorry to say but navarro is a wanker
he has the funk of a dead white fish of some sorts not to mention a hole in his soul and couldn't "invent" his way out of a shopping cart
as for favourite peppers album definately blood sugar
from beginning to end a finely crafted piece of funky freshness the sound of five brothers making soul music together

I haven't heard the first three or By the Way but out of all the ones I have heard, One Hot Minute is the best.
